“I pray that this all isn’t just my imagination.”

When I crossed the finish line for the final time I couldn’t help but hope that the end of my career was just my imagination. My track career at UMass contains some of the most memorable moments in my life. From the team dinners, to the Peter Pan bus rides, and the overnight hotels I’ve been able to experience more than I ever thought I would being a college athlete.

Thank you Coach Jackson for the opportunity of a lifetime. You believed in a baseball player who’s only ran 1 year of indoor track. I would not have accomplished any of this without you Coach.

Shoutout to every single one of my teammates. We will always be family. Also shoutout to all the long sprinters!! We made the most of every practice. I wouldn’t trade any of the memories I’ve made with you all. Even on the tough volume days and tempo treadmill practices I had so much fun with you all.

Thank you to everyone who’s ever supported me throughout my career and all of the amazing athletes I got to compete against.

I’ve run 46 400m dashes, 39 200m dashes, 19 4x100m relays and 30 4x400m relays throughout my career and each time I stepped on the track I gave it my all. I have finished my career without any regrets. So now I pray that this all isn’t just my imagination.
