A wedding weekend that will always hold an extra special place in our hearts.

Fifteen years ago, we had the privilege of planning Scott’s Bar Mitzvah. We have had a front row seat since, watching him grow into the wonderful young man he is today, meeting his love, Ben, and now, planning their much-anticipated wedding. What an extraordinary full-circle moment.

This weekend, surrounded by family, friends, and so much love, Scott and Ben were married in the beautiful Hudson Valley. From the heartfelt ceremony to an unforgettable celebration, every moment was filled with joy, laughter, and pure magic.

Scott and Ben, you will always be part of our Gourmet family. Officially two Gourmet Grooms! 🤍

Mazel Tov to this incredible couple. We wish you a lifetime of love, happiness, and many more reasons to celebrate!

On Friday night, we were honored at the Torah for our Aufruf. It was a transcendent moment for both of us fully realizing our blessing as a gay Jewish couple. Affinity is funny when you're gay and Jewish - as a kid you aspire to marry Jewish, as a gay you feel lucky to marry period. And along the way, you pick up so many special people from these and other groups as you form your identity.

We feel unbelievably fortunate to be able to marry Jewish. We would love each other no matter what, but it's surreal to stand before to Torah together preparing to start our family just as our parents did. We are so blessed to have Rabbi Mo and Central Synagogue, and the thirty people close to us that joined us for a celebratory dinner hosted lovingly by Scott's grandparents.

Ben turned to Scott as they walked off the bimah and said this was the happiest moment of his life. Scott said he gets one month before it gets one-upped.
