The first residential building in Australia wrapped in scalloped, faceted glass. Each pane is folded into a shallow scallop, so the facade catches the light off the water differently through the day. The idea has been imitated since, though the original remains the one others are measured against.

It’s always a pleasure collaborating with talented event specialists like @theprophousecollective to bring an occasion of this scale to life.

Here’s to celebrating milestones in style and creating experiences that leave a lasting impression.

What a difference six months can make. 💜

Back in April, we put out a call for land on the Gold Coast to help us build more homes for young mothers and children experiencing homelessness.

Fast forward to today, and we've secured the land, with construction of seven new homes now fully funded thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the @jamesfrizellecharity.

It's an incredible milestone for The Lady Musgrave Trust and an exciting next step in bringing our purpose-built housing and support model to more young families across Queensland.

We're incredibly grateful to James and the Foundation for making this possible, and we're looking forward to working with new and longstanding partners to bring the project to life.

With construction expected to begin in early 2027, there's plenty more to come. Watch this space!

Seven new homes for young mothers and children experiencing homelessness are coming to the Gold Coast! 🏡

Thanks to an extraordinary commitment from the James Frizelle Charitable Foundation (@jamesfrizellecharity), The Lady Musgrave Trust is expanding its housing and support model to the Gold Coast, with seven new homes to be built for young mothers and their children.

The project builds on the success of Jinndii Waijung, our purpose-built housing development in Logan, which opened in March 2025.

Like Jinndii Waijung, the new development will combine secure, self-contained homes with shared learning spaces and tailored support, including individual case management delivered by community partners.

“These seven new homes on the Gold Coast will give more mums and their children the safety and stability they need to rebuild their lives, with tailored support and opportunities to engage in education and employment,” said The Lady Musgrave Trust CEO Victoria Parker.

“We are deeply grateful to James and the James Frizelle Charitable Foundation. Their generosity is making this project possible, from purchasing the land through to building the homes.”

A long-time supporter of the Trust and recipient of the 2025 Queensland Community Philanthropist of the Year award, James Frizelle reflected on the impact of providing safe housing.

“When you give someone a safe roof over their head, you give them back their future.”

Construction is expected to begin in early 2027, with discussions already underway with @mcnabgroup, @modnpods, @propertyindustryfoundation and @goldcoastyouthservice.

We're incredibly excited to bring this model to the Gold Coast and create more opportunities for young women and their children to build safe, stable futures.

Set discreetly back from Montague Road, behind the preserved brickwork of the original Dixon Tannery, The Tannery in West End is one of Brisbane’s most considered inner-city addresses, and construction is underway.

@mcnabgroup’s 87-residence development is designed by @cotteeparker with interiors by @tommarkhenry_ and landscaping by @aspectstudios, where homes boast engineered timber flooring, stone benchtops, Miele appliances, and generous balconies.

Above: a rooftop pool, alfresco dining, BBQ, and lawn space. Below: a heritage wellness retreat with hot and cold plunge, sauna, steam room, fitness centre, Pilates and stretch room, cinema, library, and Nordic shower.

Display by private appointment at Ground Floor, SW1, 32 Cordelia Street, South Brisbane.

Today was a reminder of just how complex our housing crisis has become and how much work there is still to be done.

I was grateful to be invited to the Fisher Electorate Housing Roundtable, hosted by Federal Member for Fisher Andrew Wallace MP, alongside Senator Andrew Bragg.

As a lifelong Sunshine Coast local working in real estate, I see firsthand the challenges facing people trying to secure a home, whether they’re entering the market, raising a family, renting or looking to downsize.

There were some tough but necessary conversations around the table today.

Housing affordability, the imbalance between supply and demand, taxation, increasing construction costs, planning restrictions and red tape were all part of the discussion.

We also spoke about consumer confidence in the building industry, including the importance of protecting buyers through appropriate trust account arrangements and restoring faith that homes will actually be completed.

These are not simple issues and there are no quick fixes.

I joined representatives from Coast2Bay Housing, IFYS, Macnab, Stockland, Brighton Projects, Project Urban, HIA and UDIA, each bringing different perspectives on the challenges facing our region.

Behind every housing statistic is a person, a family or a member of our community whose future is being impacted.

For me, that is what these conversations must remain focused on.

I’m thankful to Andrew Wallace MP and Senator Andrew Bragg for bringing local voices together and providing an opportunity for open and sometimes uncomfortable conversations.

I left with a greater appreciation of the challenges across the broader housing sector and a strong belief that genuine collaboration, accountability and practical reform are needed if we want to see meaningful change.

Our community deserves that.
