Every time we fly to Europe, we start the trip here. ✈️

The TWA Hotel at JFK sits inside the restored 1962 terminal designed by Eero Saarinen — a time capsule of the golden age of travel.

Cocktail bars throughout the terminal.
A rooftop pool overlooking the runway.
And even a lounge inside a vintage Lockheed Constellation airplane.

The Hangry Italian verdict:
If you’re flying through JFK, it’s absolutely worth the stop.

Would you start your trip here?

We stayed at the Luxury Collection Hotel NYC a couple weeks ago-and it set a new bar for accessibility.
From genuinely incredible staff, to a spacious room and a bathroom that was clearly designed with intention, every detail mattered. Add spectacular views and a perfect location near Midtown, Central Park, and the theater district, and this one checks every box. If accessibility matters to you when traveling to New York City, this hotel gets my highest
recommendation. #AccessibleTravel #AccessibleNYC

✨ The Iconic Rooftop Pool at the TWA Hotel, JFK ✨

Imagine watching planes take off and land at JFK while you float in a heated infinity pool overlooking the runway — it’s one of those surreal travel moments you can’t quite believe is real. 🛫

Perched atop the legendary TWA Hotel, this mid-century-inspired pool bar feels like a step back into the golden age of aviation — where Pan Am glamour met jet-set cool. From the retro red loungers to the vintage cocktails and the perfectly framed control tower views, everything here is designed for a sense of nostalgia and style.

Whether you’re arriving, departing, or just stopping over in New York, there’s no better layover spot than this. It’s not just a pool — it’s an experience, a slice of design history, and one of the most photogenic rooftop views in the city. 🌆

Would you take a dip before your next flight?

✨ There’s nowhere quite like the TWA Hotel at JFK — a mid-century masterpiece where travel dreams take flight again. I love this place — the perfect overnight stay before flying JetBlue Mint, and yes, I was in that iconic rooftop pool this morning watching planes taxi by 🛫

Exclusivity made Soho House iconic.
Expansion nearly broke it.

Now a $2.7B deal to go private could decide its future…

As a member, I’ll say it: it doesn’t feel like it used to. The belonging, the culture, the creativity, it’s faded with scale. 📉

So… will this reset bring Soho House back to its roots? Or is it just growth at the cost of soul? 👀

Prestige or parody...what do you think?
