POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Ok, so I didn’t just come to the North Country to sleep in the woods (though that was great).

Thanks to @mcteich for a thoughtful, engaging interview for the @ncpr show North Words. Mitch and I both tend to go on a bit, so buckle up. 🤣😬

I was so thrilled and grateful to be able to bring the stories in A GUIDE TO OPEN WATER LIFESAVING home to the landscape where so many of them were born: the education yurt at the @adk.loj , Haystack Mountain, the Pharaoh Lake wilderness, the west brach of the Sacandaga River, the @noonmarkdiner .

And of course, lots and lots of visits to @stewartsshops .

I’ve got a great book event coming up inside the blue line. Sunday, September 20 at 2pm at @snowfort_adk with the great writer and North Creek EMT, Joe Connelly, author of Bringing Out the Dead.

Now I’m going to jump in my kayak.

SIX DAYS ‘til publication. Stay tuned.

Thank you @ncpr for having me on to talk about why growing up in a bilingual household of illustrators and having a childhood rooted in classical, jazz, Arabic and electronic music led me to be the multidisciplinary visual artist and musician that I am. @mcteich I could talk with you for hours! @vaverchick @cpspotsdam @sunypotsdam @lokoartfestival @thecraneschool @sunypdamartdepartment THANK YOU for seeing all of these seemingly disparate things that I do as integrated. It’s the first time I have ever felt truly seen for who I am and what I can do. My heart is full. More reflections on the deeply meaningful platform these people have given me coming soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️ #multi #visualartist #musician #sunypotsdam #makeitcrane

On the latest episode of the North Words podcast from NCPR, Croghan Bologna has been a community staple for more than a century. It’s a food that needs no introduction in our region. But now its fourth-generation owner, Blaine Campany, is trying to share this Northern New York specialty with the rest of the country. She spoke with host Mitch Teich about what it’s like to run an iconic business, and how they managed to trademark the word “Croghan.” It’s all on the latest episode of the North Words podcast from NCPR, available wherever you get your podcasts and at the link in our bio.
