Honored to Stand With Survivors and Community Heroes 💜💎

We’re proud to announce that the Governance & Innovation Briefing Room™ is an official in-kind media sponsor of The Black Fairy Godmother Foundation’s 11th Annual Purple Diamond Awards Gala, taking place Saturday, October 24, 2026, in Bloomfield, New Jersey.

Through its Safe Haven Fund, The Black Fairy Godmother Foundation provides emergency housing assistance and essential resources to women and children escaping domestic violence—helping families move from crisis toward safety, stability, and a new beginning.

Media governance isn’t only about responsible technology or organizational policy. It’s also about protecting human dignity, personal safety, and sovereignty, both online and in the communities we call home.

We’re honored to support this vital mission, stand with survivors, and join the sponsors, advocates, and community leaders working to ensure families have a safe place to land and the resources to rebuild.

Every survivor deserves to be heard. Every family deserves to feel safe.

🎟️ Attend the gala or support the Safe Haven Fund:

I've been a little quiet over here...
Partly because I've been running my mouth on that other platform 🫣, but also partly because I've been working on some cool things and asking God how to be intentional about the last few weeks of the year, by His grace.

If any of them would support your end of year goals, let's connect!! 🙏🏾💕

𝐓𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞… 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 🤎

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak on 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 and this conversation was just as much a reminder for me as it was for the women in the room.

We talked about taking the trip, setting boundaries, appreciating the small moments, and making time for ourselves.

There were tears, laughter, reflection, and real conversation. And if there’s one thing I hope we all walked away remembering, it’s this:

𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐢𝐭.

And yes… sometimes it’s okay to be a little selfish. 🤎

To end the experience receiving my flowers…literally made the moment even more special. 💐

Thank you @mcwe_network for having me and creating space for conversations like this. And congratulations to all of the September speakers who shared their voices and expertise in rooms across the country.

🎤✨ I’m excited to share that I’ll be speaking this Saturday at the MCWEN New York Meetup!

I’ll be sharing on:

“Wounds Not Healed: When Success Hides the Pain God Wants to Heal.”

This conversation is especially meaningful to me because I’ve learned that success and healing are not the same thing.

We can build.
We can lead.
We can accomplish.
We can show up for everyone around us…

And still have places within us that God is asking us to stop overlooking.

Healing requires honesty and sometimes becoming who God has called us to be means allowing Him to address the things we’ve learned to function through.

I’m looking forward to connecting with an incredible community of women and having an honest conversation about faith, healing, purpose, and becoming. 🤎

Because so many of the communities I am a part of are long-distance and online, I made a point to be intentional this year about making local connections.

I was able to attend my first meetup with @mcwe_network last night, and it was really great.

As women entrepreneurs, we were able to share ideas, discuss potential collaborations and future events, and we heard a really helpful presentation by Ayisha Olajide of @envisioncreativeart.

It's always great to be in spaces with like-minded people with similar goals and experiences.

Now that I’ve had time to rest and truly take in everything from this weekend, I just want to say thank you to Adrena, founder of MCWEN, for entrusting me to emcee their 9th Annual Conference.

Before the conference, Adrena and I met, and I asked her what she wanted from me as I served her in helping to make her event impactful. I joked and said, “Now, I know we’re all believers, but I’m Apostolic, and we carry on! 😂” She said, “Well, let’s be a little more reserved on Friday since it’s more business, but at the brunch, it’s UP!”

Well… I tried, y’all. 😂

I carried on so bad that, for a moment, I honestly felt like I had let her down because I definitely did NOT follow instructions. 😂 But when I read the card she placed in my gift bag, I realized that what I thought was me “doing too much” was exactly what was needed. She shared that I was just what they needed and that she was godly proud that I allowed God to use me and was obedient to His will.

Whew! 🙌🏾

Words cannot express how good it felt to be in a room filled with like-minded people who understand that Yah is more than a resource. He is our SOURCE.

To Yah be the glory for meeting us this weekend and for using me, the prodigal daughter, to uplift His people. I don’t take it lightly when God chooses to use me, especially when I know the journey He has brought me through.

Adrena, thank you again for having me, trusting me, and welcoming me into your space. It was truly an honor to serve you and the MCWEN community.

May this next year bring forth even MORE of the vision Yah has placed inside of you. May the doors open wider, the impact grow greater, and the vision continue to come to life.

Things can only get better from here!!! 🙌🏾❤️ To Yah be ALL the glory!

My heart is full. 🙏
This weekend I had the honor of being a speaker at the 2026 Embracing YOU Conference, presented by MCWEN — and what a weekend it was.
Friday night, I joined the panel “Unfiltered: The Courage to Become” — a real, honest conversation with fellow leaders about what it takes to keep going when the journey gets hard.
Saturday, at the Embracing YOU Brunch, I had the privilege of a fireside chat with the founder of MCWEN, Andrena Sawyer (@andrena_sawyer ). It was meaningful, it was unfiltered, and it was everything I hoped it would be. Andrena, thank you for building a space where truth can be spoken and people can be seen.
To the entire MCWEN team — thank you for having me, and for the way you pour into purpose-driven entrepreneurs. What you’re building matters.
And to every single person who picked up a copy of His Time — thank you. Thank you for the kind words, the hugs, and the appreciation you showed me for sharing my truth. You didn’t just buy a book; you received a piece of my journey, and I don’t take that lightly.
My prayer is simple: that my story inspires you as you carve out your own path. Your waiting season is not wasted. Keep building. Keep believing.
It was never my time. It was His.
Stay focused. Stay humble. Stay faithful. 🤍
