Hey RVA! Was anyone else thrown off by today’s 88° weather in the middle of October? 😂☀️ The warm temps had me thinking back to our time creating balloon decor at the Virginia State Capitol for the Joy & Justice Tour hosted by @southernblackgirls. 💜

It was such an honor to be part of an incredible day celebrating and uplifting melanated women!

When Plan A says “nope” 😂

The “26” marquees weren’t part of the original plan, so we pivoted, got creative, and turned it into an abstract photo moment instead!

Proof that sometimes the best designs happen when you have to wing it.

💕 THANK YOU, THRIFT WORLD EXPO! 💕

Another successful @thriftworldexpo in the books! 🥹🧁✨ A huge thank you to Alan, Maxine, and the entire @globalthreadz team for continuing to create such an amazing experience year after year and for always showing MiMi’s Sweet Thangs so much love!

And y’all know I’m going to EAT while I’m working. 😂 Shoutout to my fellow baker friends! I finally tried the Biscoff croissant from @oneladyandamixer and absolutely delicious! 🤎 I also had the cotton candy drink and Snickerdoodle cookies from @snickascookies , and both were phenomenal. Definitely go show these ladies some love and follow their businesses!

I also got to see the amazing work from @mcwrva with their photo booth, catch up with so many familiar faces and vendor friends, and meet even MORE Sweeties. 💕 Some of y’all even made the trip from Richmond and D.C., and that support means more than you know!

Great people, great businesses, great energy and another wonderful event. Thank you to every Sweetie who stopped by MiMi’s Sweet Thangs, purchased, said hello, took a picture, or simply showed love.

Now we rest…until we do it ALL OVER AGAIN in 2027! 😂💕 See y’all next year!
