I said yes to giving a talk at a motion design festival in Munich. And then I actually had to give the talk. 👀

I was really nervous. Speaking in front of a room full of people is already a big thing for me. Doing it in English was an extra challenge.

But somewhere along the way, I started to feel comfortable. And then I actually had fun. A lot of fun, even.

I spent so much time making all the little animations and details for this talk. I would have enjoyed making them just as much if nobody had noticed. But seeing people pick up on them was a lovely bonus.

@thilbrand_ and I first met at @offfest Barcelona. I mentioned this in my talk because it’s a pretty good example of why festivals matter. You meet nice people, have a good time, and who knows? Maybe they remember you and invite you to speak at their festival one day. :-)
