🤔 Tales of A Volunteer Voter Protection Attorney on 1st Day of Early Voting - Lessons Learned:

🗳️ Check your voter registration status online. Some folks are still walking thinking all things are in order and they are not.

🗳️ Go prepared with your ballot researched and completed otherwise you will be frustrated - just because most people are just paying attention to all these candidates and amendments. It takes some effort. Should not take you more than 5 mins prepared.

🗳️ If you are dropping off your vote by mail ballot, you may need to park, walk up to the front entrance of most early voting locations or you can check for signs with a number to seek assistance from Clerk. Be sure to sign and date the back of your ballot and check on processing in a couple days.

🗳️ You have the right to request assistance when casting your vote. You need to complete an affidavit before anyone will be permitted to accompany you into the voting booth.

🗳️Lastly, during early voting lines are not long for most times. You can check waiting times online for some counties. Also, you have two chances if you mistake on your ballot and request a replacement ballot. Finally, if you have any issues with your registration or challenges to your right to vote, when all else fails you can request a provisional ballot.

To my college students and young rockstars in the feed, you are not paying close enough attention - listening to noise in the back of the class. Come forward.

Get it done. Don’t let others who are better prepared speak for you.

An inspiring afternoon at the Haiti Air Ambulance (Ayiti Air Anbilans) Awards Luncheon and Fundraiser!

We are incredibly grateful to have been part of such a powerful celebration of service, community impact, and lifesaving outreach. Hearing about the critical care access and emergency medical transport Ayiti Air Anbilans provides across Haiti was a profound reminder of why humanitarian work matters.

A huge congratulations to the FIU Caribbean Students Association (CSA) for being honored with the Student Group Leadership Award! We also want to recognize the student leaders from Miami Dade College (MDC) for their strong representation at the event and their shared commitment to advocacy and community service.

The Humanitarian Outreach & Support Program (HOSP) is rooted in uplifting communities and supporting those in need. Being surrounded by so many dedicated advocates and professionals fuels our passion to make a difference on campus and beyond.

A special thank you to Haiti Air Ambulance and Mr. Kaufman for an unforgettable event and for your relentless dedication to bringing hope and healthcare to Haiti.
