It is hard to put into words how this trip has changed me . And still, months later I glow with excitement from everything I learned and experienced with this new family. I go through life with my footprint and my intention to share the philosophy of permaculture in every aspect.
Thank you @givevolunteers for everything you do! Thank you @chrismf_wild_journey for all these beautiful photos and thank you @miadenhart @rakeee.jm for being such amazing guides and sharing your passion. Pura vida 🤙🏼🇨🇷🌱

Costa Rica! ☀️

I am so incredibly grateful for the experiences I’ve had and the lessons I’ve learned. Between getting bitten by ants and making microorganisms, I spent my two weeks here remembering how important community, self love, and growth is. Feeling thankful for all of you wonderful people I’ve met :)

Although there’s a lot I’ve already shared about this trip, the most important thing I want to express is my gratitude to @givevolunteers for a truly life changing experience. To travel with a purpose instead of strictly for pleasure and be present through a completely different lens is something that I’ll never forget. I’ve laughed, smiled, and even cried with people that I can now call lifelong friends, grown a new appreciation for life, and learned so much about community and about myself. My goal is to bring these lessons back home and make 2026 my year of intentionality and self-love. If you ever have the opportunity to volunteer in another country, DO IT (with GIVE of course)!!! You won’t regret it. ❤️

i am filled with gratitude for the life i have created for myself in this new city. i’ve found my routine, my people, and myself. every single day i find myself learning something new even from the most random of strangers. i have found so much love for educating myself and understanding how I can become a better person from that knowledge. my empathy for every soul around me continues to grow in this time as well. i have the privilege to be able to find the balance in staying informed as well as enjoying the little simplicities life brings me in these dark times. the state of the world is saddening, but in the darkest of times i feel so connected to those around me and the earth beneath my feet, i feel good things around the corner. and for as long as i live i hope to use my voice to advocate for this who can’t use theirs, especially now.
