Gio Mesto is playing our first show this year on Saturday May 17th (also acts as our 2024 "Gatos" EP release party) - and we're playing with three great bands: Hook of Moon, More Is Not Enough, and General Trust, at our favorite venue, The Cave!! The darkness starts at 830pm and we go on third.

The Giocoso Mesto are playing an EP release party THIS FRIDAY at the good ol' @thecavenc , in good ol' Chapel Hill with good ol' @taylorsharp_music and the Sharpies! The EP ("Gatos") is already out now on our BC page PLUS we *just* threw on some MONO mixes just for this show! They'll be up until at least until next week or until at least until they overstay their bandwidth. Maybe we will play one of the mono mixes LIVE in mono?????!!? 9p, $10 suggested, giomesto.bandcamp.com

Another Caruso reissue, called 'Kitten', is out right now, and for the first time on vinyl! 'Kitten' was originally recorded in Raleigh NC in 2003, with some additional bits recorded in Baltimore MD with Rob Girardi that same year. Rob, Beth Varden, and David Bergander, beyond being amazing people/musicians, also played on a handful of tracks, including a Swirlies cover and a song named after a quote from the Simpsons! The artwork from 2003 wasn't original, so for this official release, Mark Robinson (Teenbeat Records) designed the sleeve, providing photography, fonts, and inspiration. Guy Fixsen, who produced a lot of the music that inspired 'Kitten', mastered the reissue. Thanks to all for being a part of this super special release! 'Kitten' is limited to 100 copies on pink vinyl (pressed at Citizen Vinyl in Asheville NC) and is available to purchase and/or listen to at https://caruso.bandcamp.com/album/kitten-2 and generalmanager.bandcamp.com and in a few record stores in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill/Carrboro/Hillsborough area of NC. Also available unlimitedly on all streams and stream-like services.

Thrilled to present another compilation that we've put out on our very own label. It's called FOR A LTD. TIME, VOL 2, and features solo tunes from Will and Matt from Gallus Mag (Angel Boy Cow and Riffs, respectively), PLUS some of our favorite bands from the last 20 years: Karōshi, Clok-Lok, and Bringerer from Chapel Hill/Carrboro NC, and Cicaeda from Baltimore MD. Thank you so so much to the bands and to James Phillips for mastering! Check out the General Manager bandcamp page in the bio for this and even MORE music from Bringerer, Cicaeda, Clok-Lok!

Here's some media from the show last night (thanks to Real Rock Spouse of Orange County @marktheocclerk for the photos). @the_auxlry killed it both music-wise and swag-wise (and that cover of "Pure Imagination" is still in our heads). If you missed us, you're in luck! We are playing NEXT Saturday too! 8pm April 8th at 6680 Lewis Rd. w/ @burnsmyface and @theriverotters!
