Live Footage — Just Moving Parts, from Doyers (2014). Working on a project with Live Footage lately, we’ve all fallen in love with their music. What keeps surprising us is how wide their range is, and yet somehow it all still feels like it lives in their world. We rarely skip a track when we’re listening to them, which made choosing just one especially hard. Even with “Just Moving Parts,” finding a single section to sample took a while. At some point, their music literally became our soundtrack. #RandomSound #LiveFootage #ExperimentalMusic

You may have been wondering, "What's that heartwarming, distant, driving music I've been hearing with all Fourwind posts?" Well, I'll tell ya, that is @livefootagebrooklyn , the composers of Frames of Reference. The music of our documentary sets the tone and is a huge part of what makes it great. Director, @justinjosephhall discovered Live Footage in his first year in New York when his friend @beverlyburris took him to a speakeasy in Chinatown called @apothekenyc. He entered the amazing space and ambient cello and drums filled the air. A perfect vibe behind a secret door accompanied with fancy, tasty drinks. Live Footage is a musical duo that is formed by @topu_lyo who plays electric cello & @mdthies plays drums and keyboards. They don't use pre-recorded samples and by looping sound as full like a modern cinematic orchestra. Justin, because of his love of film and music, listens to ambient music often as he's always listening for soundtrack opportunities. And of course their catchy name Live Footage caught his attention as a moviemaker. So, now, how can you get your hands on their work of music. Well, the LIVE FOOTAGE SPECIAL is an incredible deal where you get not just the songs in our soundtrack from our composers, but their entire digital discography of amazing music. Not only has Live Footage offered their discography, but also a brand spankin' new song that has never been released. They have fully supported the film from the get go and this is our director's favorite prizes as he's intimately familiar with the band's full discography. You can go on so many adventures by immersing yourself in this music. That being said, getting the LIVE FOOTAGE SPECIAL does not just get you the music, you IN ADDITION get a thank you credit in the film, a 61 x 01 cm (24 x 36 in) FRAMES OF REFERENCE Movie Poster, 2 packs of sticky notes, 18 #2 pencils, an eraser, a folder, a bookmark, a stylish FOURWIND short movie pin, a coloring map download, digital access to FRAMES OF REFERENCE and an exclusive IndieGoGo only Celebrity Principal bonus video. #framesOfReference #soundtrack #liveFootage #inspiration

I've been making dance films with @maya.laliberte for a decade now and music with @livefootagebrooklyn (@mdthies and @topu_lyo) for even longer. I recently submitted a film of ours to INTERFACCIA DIGITALE (@hangartfest_pesaro) and it was selected for the festival. Out today! Nature + Space Take a listen on your platform of choice. This would be nice while working, or taking your dog for a walk. Do some art.. Paint or draw something. This record invokes images of a couple taking a stroll to a waterfall, and ending up at the sea. Maintenance on a shuttle in space, more waterfalls and contemplation. What comes to mind to you when listen? Like most of our music, this is rooted in improvisation. These were recorded to tape and captured by @thecreamerystudio . I watched the film "Beam Me Up, Sulu" this morning. I really liked it! First of all, I want to thank @highwaychildfilms for sending this Blu-Ray, I really appreciate it. Beam Me Up, Sulu is an emotionally moving, feel-good, and passionate love letter to Star Trek and fandom itself. It explores the making of a Star Trek fan film in the 80s that George Takei took part in. It also touches on how Star Trek has affected our culture, in particular Asian Americans, and how they've been treated and perceived on film and the world. They interview people who took part in the fan film, George Takei, Garrett Wang, Alexander Siddig, Christina Chong, Ian Alexander, Rod Roddenberry, and fellow Trekkies. Everything is well done down to the score, editing, and cinematography. Timour Gregory & Sasha Schneider did a great job directing this fun, heartfelt celebration to geekdom that I would highly recommend. #beammeupsulu #startrek #trekkie #bluray #popculture
