Thank you to everyone who changed their profile picture for Miller on the 24th. It meant so much to see so many flowers for him 🥹 I hardly ever visit Miller’s grave. Seeing his beautiful face on a headstone is just too hard for me to handle. But this year, armed with Miller’s special blanket and pillow, my dad’s old sweater, and a small army of people who love me, I braved the horror and went to the cemetery. As I laid down on the grass and wept for all that I have lost, I was also overcome with all that I have gained in the three years since my sweet boy left this earth. The community, the music, the self discovery, and the deeper understanding of what it means to love. And even though I didn’t get to have the future I wanted with my son, Miller continues to show me his light. He is my compass. He gives me strength to keep working towards a life worth living. What an honor it is to be Miller’s mom.
