‭‭Esther‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

At this point in the book of Esther, a decree has been sent out to kill the Jews by Haman. Mordecai (Esther’s close relative) is a Jew who will be killed, so he pleads with the new queen to ask the king for mercy on the Jews. Esther is scared to go to the king because anyone not invited to speak to him in the inner courts was likely to get killed. The exception for this rule was if you found favor from the king and he held out his golden scepter for you to touch. When Esther agrees to ask for the decree to be revoked by the king, he holds out his golden scepter, she touches it, and he grants Esther life. The golden scepter is such a beautiful analogy of how we in sin deserved to be die, but God, being rich in mercy, holds out his golden scepter to us. If we touch it, he allows us life and the ability to be apart of his wonderful plan.

🤎 Matt and I sat on a bench outside a quiet cafe on Saturday and scrolled through our camera rolls from each month of this year.

So many lush moments and precious memories that we are quick to move on from. We’ve hardly shared at all on socials this year and in some ways I love how special and private to ourselves and those we share it with our life has been. But there is something nice about remembering and sharing, so I think I’ll begin to do that more, at random, with photos that mean something to me. These are some film from a roll I had developed in August.

I’m reminded this week of 1 year ago when my family (including gma!!!) traveled to England and we got to spend a few days together in London before Matt & I got married.

I had just moved here the month prior and didn’t know much about the city, but @matthewsquibb3 took some time off work to be our tour guide & we got to do alllll the things. 🥹

My family had never traveled outside of the country before, so sharing the exploration with them was so unique and special to my heart. I wish I could jump back into the moments that made these photographs to feel the developing nostalgia at hand.

Im so happy I have these memories captured on b&w film. 🖤

(Wait omg very necessary side note — Matt took my sisters, dad, and grandma to St Paul’s Cathedral and Prince Harry was there and literally shook my sister’s hand and talked to her MEANWHILE I was getting my nails done across town with mom HAHAHA AS IF!!!!!!)

PART 1 of the blessed year of 2024.

How could I possibly capture it all in just over a minute with an international move, getting MARRIED (3 times lol), and allllllll of the quality time we got to spend with literally every single person we love most. This year has been phenomenal. Wonderful. HARD. Blessed. Unexpected. And ultimately, good. The God kinda good. The kind of year you remember forever. 🤎

I’ve been a dog trainer since 2020 but it wasn’t until this year where I finally found a home.
.
I know I couldn’t even fit half of you in here but THANK YOU to those of my clients all the way in Australia to New York & Texas and then back to North Carolina. Last year I dreamed of training dogs all over the world and this year I DID IT! I couldn’t have found my passion for dog training back without you.

And to my K9Summit team. Thank you for being a group of empowering women. I look up to all of you and enjoy being surrounded by such knowledgeable trainers.

The sweetness of this past week is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. We had the most magical time celebrating Dacoda and Matt. I came expecting a fun time and left with deeper friendships with these girls, a heart touched by the love of two families coming together as one & overflowing joy for my best friend who found her person. We laughed, danced, cried and ate the best food. It can be really hard living far away from some of your closest friends, but times like these make it so special. LOVEEEE U SQUIBBS
