POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We don’t always get to choose what happens to us or around us. Sometimes we find ourselves in circumstances that, frankly, suck.

In those moments, it’s important to remember that while you may not be able to control anything else, you can always choose your attitude.

Accept things as they are. Embrace the suck... then choose to make the best of it.

(This story is from my new keynote Unseen Joy: Finding Happiness Despite Circumstances, which I debuted at @mentalhealthkc Mental Health KC this year.)

The end of an era aboard the sweet Caroline 🤍 The owners are respectfully selling the boat and moving on to new adventures. Not gonna lie I got pretty emotional making this reel. Thank you @60degreesak for the coolest job and a special thanks to @meanderingsofme for being the most kind, hard working, fun, best friend, first mate/ chef there ever was! On to the next chapter.

“That Alaskan Yacht Rock Lifestyle” Chapter 1: The People. Whales, sea lions, sea otters, cormorants, fjords, waterfalls, secret islands, glaciers, and cold plunges are cool- but what brings the story, the spunk, and the spice are the cast of characters in the moments and turns them into memories. Captain @tommysnyder_ and gourmet chef @meanderingsofme of @60degreesak led and fed us on the adventures. All the love of family fun was poured into the 5 days off the grid! (We missed you @att.cus - we know you’re having your own adventures in Chile!)

The gulf sure welcomed me back with a “sporty” first day out on the water! 🤠
Couldn’t have asked for a better group of passengers. They were loving it! Most of them at least…

It was an honor to host students in our spring @nourish_in_nature yoga retreat. 🙏🏼🌿

There is something very special about holding trauma-informed space surrounded by the ocean, mountains, and boreal forest. 🏔️ 🌲 🌊

It is a healing and nourishing environment where you slow down, pause, and dive deep into rest.

It is an invitation to come home to yourself with a long, slow exhale.

Thank you to everyone who makes these retreats possible.

To my teachers, friends, students, and the support from the Seward community. 🙏🏼

We only have 2️⃣ spots left for our upcoming summer retreat July 30th - August 1st! ☀️

If you’re craving rest, nature, nourishing meals, and gentle, restorative yoga we would love to host you @saltedrootsalaska !

We also have limited availability for our fall retreat October 20th - 22nd. 🍁

Send a message to learn more or visit the link in bio to save your spot! 💙
