POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

2 years ago I was just finishing up the Rubicon trail. I had meet a bunch of new people and was finishing up my first big multi-day Bronco adventure. It would not be my last for sure. Now I sit here two years later about to go racing in a the Baja 1000 with @leed.racing and I am speechless. This @fordbronco has fulfilled some life long dreams and opened my eyes to dreams I didn't know I had otr needed 🤣🤣🤣. Thanks @broncoman6 and @kjginter72 for talking me into and encouraging me to go on this grand adventure. And yes @adventuresofrogersandhenderson I am still planning on going and doing the adventure you put in my head 🇮🇸!

There were so many cool Broncos and people on this trip, if I didn't tag you it only because I can't figure out your Instagram handle or you may not have one. Sorry JD we are doing Baja together but I don't know if you have an insta 🤷

My page is always about trying to include others, especially women who are trying to get outdoors more…

But I know how strongly people feel about a coffee mug in the car with no lid on it though.. so I hope I don’t lose any followers over this post 🤣 ☕️✌🏼💁🏻‍♀️💀

Yesterday was one of those days.

The first Walt’s Rods prototype finally made it to the water. The goal wasn’t to take product photos or prove anything. It was to go fishing.

The kokanee cooperated. The bite lasted all day. The water looked more Caribbean than Central Oregon. And somewhere in the middle of it all, a surprise Mackinaw decided to eat a kokanee trolling setup and remind us that fish don’t always follow the script.

What made the day special wasn’t the limit or the Mackinaw.

It was watching a fishing rod go from an idea on a workbench to doing exactly what it was built to do.

My grandfather Walt taught me that there are two kinds of tackle in this world: the stuff that catches fish, and the stuff that catches fishermen. We build the first kind.

Yesterday felt like he was riding along.

A good rod.
A good friend.
A blue lake.
A boat full of stories.

That’s a pretty good place to start.

Oregon waters run deep.
