to #1 best boy of all time,

Hannah Burke day to you. No one knows me better, and the same is true in reverse, and that is all a girl could ask for from her best friend in the world. To have a past, present, and future with you has been one of the single biggest joys of my life. Through thicc and through thin, through our early 20s (YIKES), through households and hiatuses, through uptimes and down bads, through lighthouses and lime trees, through cons and pros, through the best and worst and mediumist of days, I love you and feel loved by you. Thanks for figuring out our silly little life with me!!!!!

What I am most grateful for in this last year is being back in animal welfare. I could go on and on about how the systems we’ve set up for domestic companion animals and their human counterparts in this country are eternally flawed and how I truly believe this is something we can no longer fix….but instead I want this to be a love letter to all of the staff and volunteers who continue to dedicate their time and hearts to these animals who need us. Each day we all take part of this journey together through an endless problem with no solution in sight, yet we continue to do it for the animals. And I continue to do it for the amazing humans around me who inspire me with their persistence and strength.
Adopt, Foster, Volunteer and for the love of all that is holy get your animals fixed!!
