Time to reveal myself…

Hi everyone! I’m Meara, and I’ve been behind the Miami Ohio Chicks account for the past 2 ½ years. While at Miami, I was in Zeta Tau Alpha, Miami Misfitz A Cappella (Marketing Chair 2025), UP Magazine as a hair & makeup artist, and the lead singer of the Caved In band — all while secretly running this account. Honestly, I never thought I’d be chosen. My high school superlative was “Most Likely to Become TikTok Famous,” so I put it in my application… and somehow sophomore-year me ended up running an entire TikTok account.

“To think in such a place, I lived such a life.” That Miami phrase has never meant more to me. What started as a job became one of the biggest parts of my college experience. Creating content kept me present — capturing moments, interviewing students, filming life around campus, and even shooting Barstool photoshoots in Oxford.

One of the coolest parts was getting to know the other “secret” people behind your favorite Miami accounts. Passing each other at bars or between classes knowing the shared secret was always so fun.

Thank you to Sahar and Kayla for your mentorship and support through all of this. I’ve loved making videos for all of you. Thank you @itgirl and @barstoolsports for this amazing opportunity.

Only the 2025 TikToks are still up, but I’ve included some of my favorite ones that aren’t up— and I know one day I’ll look back at them whenever I miss Miami a little too much.

DSIG x DKE 5.07.26

We had a blast at DSig & DKE’s Darty at Dusk party last Thursday. Fireworks going off while singing High + Dry was definitely not planned in the set list, but that made it even better. Thank you DSIG and DKE for hosting us and we’ll see you guys at the next one!

These last few months have been the most special and mean the most to me. For someone who didn’t even want to go to college, I’ve cried so many tears and I know I’ll continue to cry more. I’ve run up and down the streets of Uptown, cried and danced at Big Bull’s, spent all my Tuesdays at 6 p.m. with my PA girls, found the best in zeta and endless sleepovers at Repent, too many to count. I’m not sure where homework fell into all of that, but we’re graduating, and I truly can’t grasp how four years moved so fast. It’s not hard to understand how a small town could have all this love in it. I’ll love Oxford forever and ever and I’ll never shut up about it!
