|| YOUR MOMENT...
Sometimes you just know when the next level is calling you. And when it does, you’ve got to move… no hesitation – JUST GO. My friend @meccagamble - one of the most talented photographers I’ve ever worked with - is doing just that. She announced yesterday that she is expanding her photography business and allowing herself to ascend.

Even when called, even when directed...even when you know it’s the right thing - saying YES to the future that God is calling you to can be hard. It requires change. You wonder if people will understand. Then you remember... if God called you to it, you He will qualify you. He doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. What anyone has to say about it doesn’t matter. This is YOUR life to live to your absolute greatest ability, through His strength. ✨

Best of blessings to you Mecca, I can’t wait to watch your next season unfold!

On the newest episode of @7figureeducator podcast I sat down with an creative genius and entrepreneur I respect so deeply, @meccagamble.

I invited Mecca to the mic 🎙️because when I hear her entrepreneur journey I am so inspired by how she has embraced pivots. It almost seems effortless but I know leaving something you know for something that brings unknown requires a lot of courage and bravery.

Entrepreneurship is a journey of embracing pivots and Mecca immediately came to mind as someone to learn from.

The struggle be real with getting these kids to smile. But you know what… I’d do it a million times over for those priceless memories and smiles. 🤗

*⚠️ Short Caption Warning*

We don't have much more to add because Dr. Erica has already said it all and we're humbled at her taking the time to share her experience. However, we can say that SFE Live 2023 was a huge success, and it took all hands on deck to make it happen.

When the internal team and event team are in sync and on it, the options are limitless. We may or may not have been told that we assembled The Avengers for this event.

2024 planning is full steam ahead!

My heart is just bursting with joy and filled with gratitude after all the love received over the past few days. 🤗 The @blessedlittlebungalow x @mitchell__black wallpaper collection was a labor of love over the past few months, and to partner with a fellow female founded, minority owned company in bringing it to life was a dream come true. 🙌🏾

A huge thanks to Lynai, Brian, Dan, Matthew, Kettie, and the entire Mitchell Black team for giving me this opportunity, being open to my ideas, and making the process seamless and tons of fun! 🤗

Thank you to Mecca, Becky, AC, Kayla, and my team at @adesignpartnership for bringing my marketing vision to life and executing it so well in a short amount of time. 📸

Thank you to my family, friends, and designer tribe who kept me lifted throughout this difficult year and encouraged me throughout each part of this collaboration. 🥹

And lastly, to each of my designer and influencer friends, and each and every one of you for your support, congrats, and love I’ve the past few days. I don’t take it for granted how much you all love and root for BLB and me. 🙏🏾 THANK YOU!

Okay, soooo which design is your fave? 💛

It was a busy summer and I got to kick off the fall season AND my 4 Year DJ Anniversary with a major event for their second annual #SFELIVE2023 🙌🏾
-
Looking back on my past events and reminiscing on how far I’ve come. I truly recognize the importance of running a customer facing business. DJing events isn’t usually about the DJ, it’s about the people you’re serving and how you make them feel after. Outside of the money involved, my true joy is the appreciation and thanks I get after my sets. The joy is that much greater when they book you again 🙌🏾✨
-
Thank you again to @e_jordanthomas and @onetoucheventsllc for having me! ❤️‍🔥

Life lately.

I am and have been the biggest proponent that everyone has been given gifts to share—time, talent, and/or treasure. Further, I believe we owe it to ourselves and our respective communities to give what we can, when we can.

As a career public servant, I tend to do the kind of work that a person couldn't possibly be paid for. It's a heartwork that lives me in.

This fall, I received the honor and distinction of being appointed to the @cityofnorcross Development Authority.

I sat for my second meeting this week and am in good company of other heartworkers who love this city, our county, and state. The Authority is chaired by @mrskathleenhallen—one of the most devoted and selfless public servants I've ever known.

**********

This appointment gave me the opportunity to get new headshots by THE incomparable @meccagamble. This woman is gifted beyond words, and it is always a pleasure to work with her.

My Soror, boo thang @themuaalex on the beat. Another one I can't be without...we're coming up on our 10 year anniversary.

And this hair......@paulahair is a genius. The woman never misses. My hair is perfect every time.

**********

I also take pride in the personal accomplishment of losing over 50lbs. It took me 2 years and I've got more to go. I'm reclaiming my health and my body to serve its highest purpose.

There is something about nurturing my body while soaking in some sun and exploring my community. I think that's called joy.

I am blessed.

**********

P.S. I heard there were rumors floating that I was running for a Party position...😏. Let me let you in on a lil secret, so there is no confusion...

🗣 I'm not running for ANYTHING.
