Beary got the total spa treatment this week! It was more than an honor working on this 55 year old family treasure. To begin- I took all of the 55 year old stuffing out, which was definitely a treasure trove in this one! The ribbon you see was inside of him, along with some old tissues! Once the original stuffing was removed (remember those hard feeling stuffies from back in the day?), he received multiple soaks, and washed by hand (3x) with my special mixture. Without the stuffing, I was able to go through his body and fix about four or five holes. Not bad for 55 years old! Beary’s mouth was upgraded to a brand new little red heart, replacing the tattered one. New kisses for the next 55 years, I say! I didn’t really understand the random green tag thing that was on his butt, so I cut it out and replaced it with a cute little green heart. Once I cut the excess hard material from his spine, I was able to soften the closure. Neat and clean! Hand-brushing took about two hours, and it was worth every stroke! Combined with his new stuffing, Beary became so soft and snuggly- it will be hard to give him back! (But I cannot wait to see the faces when I do!) Thank you, genuinely. The pleasure was all mine! ♥️🧸 #stuffedanimals #love #smallbuisness #danielislandsc #danielislandstuffedanimalhospital

Kinda an interesting find. When I de-stuffed Beary’s 55 year old stuffing (before I begin my cleaning process- and then give her brand new filling), I found this ribbon inside of her! I have no clue if perhaps it fell inside her during the creation process. Perhaps it fell off one of the creators! I washed and ironed it to be placed as a new bow for Beary when all is complete. Every little thing around us has a little story - and I think it’s kind of neat. It’s an honor to be trusted with these memories. ♥️🧸

I’m grateful for the opportunity to restore and custom make every stuffed loved one. I take pride in every hand stitch, and take honor to be trusted to bring them back to life- or create your visions from scratch. When you love what you do, it isn’t work. Thank you. *Katie. PS. Now taking new patients. ♥️🧸

🍒NEW PATIENT ALLERT!🍒 Every patient has a story. It’s genuinely my favorite part of doing all of this, and worth every accidental needle poke. This is Rory. 🐶 Rory was hand-selected by his big brother the day his little sister was born to be the fur-ever protector and snuggler. On Sept. 28th, he will be TEN! I don’t know about you, but that melts my heart. So, we are going to give Rory a perfect restoration make-over to celebrate the occasion. He will be joining us very soon. Stay tuned! ♥️🧸 #restoration #plush #stuffedanimals #TLC #jellycat @jellycat @jellyroll615 #teddy #birthday #siblings #brother #sister #baby #danielisland #danielislandsc @mediagal21 #smallbuisness #shoplocal #oldschool #love #home #bestdad #bestdaughter #family @uofsc #stuffed #fyp

It must be wrong to love a shirt so much, right? Can’t pinpoint the exact reason, but I’m rolling with it. It’s simple and makes me smile. Can anyone make me this? ✨Feels like it fits the @distuffedah brand. ✨ ♥️🧸 #jadoredior #jadore #dior #christiandior @etsy @tiktok #diy #fashion #stuffedanimals #smallbusiness #danielisland #danielislandsc #charlestonsc #author #advertising #fyp #love
