💚🩺 ON DUTY OOTD | MEDICLO BALI SCRUB PANTS

Okay, Mediclo… I'm gonna need you to stop making me want more scrubs. 😂

Because this GREEN?! 😍

I'm loving these Bali scrub pants. The muted sage color, the slight flare, the cargo pockets… and even that little red drawstring. SO cute.

I've spent enough years practically living in scrubs that I appreciate something a little different.

And I'm sorry, but why shouldn't we have cute pants? We're already running around the ICU for 12+ hours, missing lunch, and wondering what the hell is going on half the time. 😂🫠

At least we can look somewhat put together while doing it.

But seriously… are we bringing back flared scrub pants, or are you still team joggers? 👀👇

The credentials are real. The coping mechanisms are questionable.

PART 2 OF TIPS FOR APPLYING TO MED SCHOOL/RESIDENCY

hi I’m Annie and I just graduated FM residency in June! if you want unfiltered advice, genuine portrayals of med life and tidbits of recipes, travel & outdoor adventures along the way then follow @sliceofannie 🫶🏼
SAVE and SHARE if helpful!

as a resident, we’re mainly making sure you’d be fun to work with & aren’t a walking red flag
as a med school, they consider how you fit their culture

if you don’t ask questions, bruh 🚩you’ll seem disinterested. remember you are interviewing your interviewers as much as they are to you to find the best fit

example questions to ask:
• I’m very interested in ___ due to ___ and saw/didn’t see on your program website that you have __ opportunities. Can you tell me more about how I can pursue this interest here?

• What changes are coming in the next 5 years?

• How would you describe the culture at your program/school?

• [to the Dean/PD] Can you describe a time students/residents gave constructive feedback and how you addressed the changes they asked for?

• How often do you all hang out with each other?

• What led you to choose this program?

• [to people almost graduating] Now that you’re almost done, what do you feel very strong in and what do you wish learned more of or had more experience in? [diff way to ask what are the strengths/weaknesses of this program]

• What sets this program/school apart from others?

• How many of your residents pursue a fellowship and matched? [if interested]

• What is your match rate and boards pass rate? What resources do you offer students for boards studying?

• How are students supported during the residency application cycle and scheduling rotations?

• Where do people tend to live around this program/school? Do many have families, live together as roomies, or live alone?

• I’ve never been to this city, what do you love to do here in your free time?

the key is to determine what are YOUR priorities for your learning experience. then, will this program and these people fit your personality and your needs?

hope this gives you more ideas x
good luck friend!!

save this for your surgery rotations!💉

going into surgery can feel VERY intimidating, especially when you’re trying to learn the OR, your patients AND the procedures all at once. 🩺

These are a few things I wish I knew going into my own surgical training that still hold true to this day💯
