One thing I learned during my time in Medora, North Dakota, is that you shouldn’t overlook a gas station when looking for a good breakfast! The C-Store might look like your typical gas station, but their breakfast sandwiches have been a favorite among locals and visitors for years. And after trying one, I can see why! Breakfast sandwiches start at just $5, and they’re made fresh daily starting at 5:30 a.m., making this a great stop before heading into Theodore Roosevelt National Park. #medorand #cstore #theodorerooseveltnationalpark #northdakota #medora

Horseback riding through the Badlands was easily one of my favorite experiences during my time in North Dakota! If you’re planning a trip to Medora, here’s everything you need to know about booking a ride with Medora Riding Stables! 🐎 2026 Trail Ride Prices:
• 30-minute ride: $47.95
• 1-hour ride: $56.95
• 2-hour ride: $113.95 Prices are per person, plus tax. 📅 Season: May through October, with dates and ride times varying throughout the season. Rides are weather permitting. 🎟️ How to book: Visit medora.com/trailrides to see available dates, times, and purchase your tickets. I recommend booking in advance, especially if you’re hoping for a sunset ride. No horseback riding experience is necessary! I hadn’t ridden a horse in about 35 years, and I had such a great experience. Here’s everything you need to know before you visit! 📍Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library 3410 Chateau Road, Medora, ND 🎟️ Admission: • Adults (13+): $26 • Children (3–12): $16 • Children under 3: Free • Discounts are available for seniors, military members and veterans, and college students. 🕘 Opening times: The library is open year-round, but hours change seasonally. Be sure to check the website for current hours before your visit. ♿ Accessibility: The library has accessible parking, elevators, wheelchair-accessible entrances and pathways, and wheelchairs available upon request. The outdoor one-mile boardwalk is also ADA-accessible, so more visitors can enjoy those incredible Badlands views! A few other things to know: • Give yourself several hours to explore. You’re also just minutes from the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park and the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, two attractions you definitely don’t want to miss while visiting Medora! The Badlands Motel is seasonal, so if you’re planning a trip, make sure to check availability ahead of time, especially during the busy summer months. I have been to a lot of beautiful places around the world, but I was completely blown away by North Dakota! One thing I love about Medora is how much there is to do in such a small town. Between the history, outdoor activities, beautiful scenery, and surprisingly good food, it’s got a lot to offer! Here’s everything I did on my first full day! Where to stay - 🏨The Badlands Motel, a motor motel that’s just a short walk from restaurants & shopping. Where I ate - 🍳 Anima Cucina (Bismarck) get the eggs benedict! It has a bechamel sauce that was amazing! 🍕Badlands Pizza Parlor if you like unique pizzas. I loved the Old World Cheese pizza with a balsamic sauce! Things to do - 📚Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library - A brand new museum that opened in July 2026. Give yourself plenty of time to explore the exhibits and walk the outdoor trails for some incredible views of the Badlands. 🐎 Medora Riding Stables - Go at sunset!
