Excited to announce that I’ll be competing again with my new dance partner, @ninam.fads! 💃🕺

We started training together about a month ago, and of course, why not kick things off with a choreography that I choreographed and performed for our Fred Astaire event? :)

I’m excited to see where our dance journey takes us and to bring more of my unique dance experiences into the ballroom world. I can’t wait to keep learning, growing, and hopefully have you guys enjoy the journey with us!

It’s been a journey, and we wanted to share an update about Mayari Coffee.

I’m Michaelangelo, and this is Chazmine. We’re the owners of Mayari Coffee, and we’re excited to share that we’ll now have a consistent schedule for mobile orders ☺️ Woot woot—more coffee for y’all!

We also wanted to touch on something from a few weeks ago. Some of you were wondering if something had happened to us after a certain story post, so here’s what happened.

We interviewed for a brick-and-mortar location at Cota Vera in Chula Vista. Overall, the interview went really well. They loved our coffee, the bakery items from @valeriosbakeshop_sd, and our idea of rotating products from local vendors such as @sweetestmile, @baked.by.lex, and many more. They told us to wait about a month for a decision since we were the first of three businesses being interviewed.

In the end, we didn’t get selected. We were definitely disappointed, but that’s business, right? Looking back, we’re grateful for the experience and the opportunity. We wish nothing but success to the business they chose for their shipping container. It would have been an amazing spot for us, especially with the future development of the Filipino Veterans Park nearby. As many of you know, Mika is a veteran, and we’re both proud Filipinos, so it felt like a meaningful fit.

Moving forward, we’re excited to share that our catering services have been a huge hit! From weddings and baby showers to corporate and private events, we’ve loved being part of so many special moments.

We also want to thank a partner who helped us get started in this world— @navyfederal . We truly appreciate the support and love you’ve shown our coffee from the very beginning.

Most importantly, we want to thank @rosiepoops who connected us and continues to support us every step of the way. Thank you for everything you’ve done for us. It truly means the world.

A word from our CEO 👨‍💼

Sometime as a small business owners it’s hard to adjust and work around our CEO. As we try to make this our full income, we go through the highs and lows of Mayari Coffee and sometime we believe and sometime we lose hope.

What we do know is our love for our community that we are building and we appreciate each one of you guys who continue to support us. It’s not always easy having a 3 year old CEO while striving for our business success.
