What is Cosplay? Short for “costume play,” cosplay is a fun and creative practice where participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character from anime, comics, video games, movies, or pop culture. It’s all about creativity, craftsmanship, and celebrating your favorite characters!

Got a costume in the works or looking to get creative? The con is just around the corner from Halloween, making it the perfect spot to get costume-ready.

Here is what you can look forward to at the Cosplay Area:

⭐️ Kids Mask Decorating: Kids can design, color, and assemble their very own superhero or anime mask to wear around the con!

⭐️ Cosplay Repair Station: Did a seam rip or a prop snap? Don’t panic! Stop by our repair table for hot glue, tape, sewing kits, and quick fixes so you can stay in character all day long.

⭐️ Cosplay Consultation: Meet with experienced cosplayers to get tips, costume design tricks, and advice for finishing your outfit.

(Note: Please keep all costumes family-friendly! Be sure to review our full cosplay guidelines on the website—remember, no prop weapons allowed!)

📍 Location: Redwood Chapel, Castro Valley
📅 Date: October 24 | 10 AM - 5 PM
🎟️ Get your tickets today at Koinoniacon.com (Adults $15 & kids under 18 are FREE! 🎟️✨)

Happy Bosses Day to our amazing leaders! 💕

We are so lucky to have such a great team at Harvest Park! 🩵 It’s our amazing leaders who make coming to work fun each day, create a positive environment, and remind us that work is so much better when you have people you genuinely enjoy working with!

Thank you, Russell, Greg & Ashley, for all you do, for your leadership, your support, and for making Harvest Park such a special place to be! We appreciate you more than you know! 🥰 We love you Tessie♥️

It’s been a week since Cape & Cowl Con, and it still feels like a miracle, even if it’s in my head. I loved meeting Sina Grace, and getting the chance to tell him how beautiful his book life on pause is and how much it meant to me. I met the kind warm person who was even more generous and beautiful than his art already suggests. There were hugs, maybe some tears, and I will treasure that meeting for as long as I remember.
And that’s on top of getting to partner with my friend and collaborator Eric Lee, meeting a righteous Spawn cosplay, and accepting the fact that there was simply no way to keep my hair from blowing everywhere in the wind.
You know that an organization, a project, and a team is doing well when it continues to grow with such rapid pace while never losing the values that made it great from the first day. Thank you to everyone who made it magical.
