Thank you @isaffcanada for a beautiful few days in Vancouver screening Homebody and getting to know so many amazing artists who I can now fangirl over. The amazing Punjabi food of Surrey was a significant perk. Big shout out to the dream team that made it all happen - thank you for uplifting an expansive definition of South Asian storytelling ♥️✨

A little behind on posting, but I had the most fun @spookfest.film in SF… and I got to hang with one of my favorite humans in the world @hpmendoza !!

We got to screen @endzgiving at the legendary Roxie theater along with 12 other incredible shorts! Seriously the curation at this festival was impeccable!

Thank you to @steveflavin & @samjayhay for creating this awesome festival! I loved being there and everyone was amazing! Just the best vibes! 🥰🙌🧟‍♂️

You didn’t think we’d celebrate 10 years of SpookFest without an afterparty, did you? 🍸💀

After the credits rolled at the Roxie, we took the festivities to Casanova Lounge for a little post-screening debauchery. Luckily, @kodak.kid was on hand to document the madness.

Same time next year? 👻

SpookFest 2026 was an absolute screamer. 🎃🎥❤️

Ten years of a popcorn-shaking crypt-raiding filmmaking good time, and I’d come back from the dead just to be in a theater with all of you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
What started as a one-off has led to 10 years of summoning the spirits at @spookfest.film with @steveflavin and the @roxie_theater, filmmakers galore, and haunted friends all stewed together in a witches cauldron of delight.
Thank you thank you thank you to all who came out and who keep this monster alive.
We have photographic evidence 😱
Here are some favorite moments from Thursday night, beautifully captured by @kodak.kid. There’s something pretty magical about watching a room full of strangers collectively lose their minds over a movie. It’s why we keep doing this, and why we never get tired of seeing your faces light up (or recoil in horror).
Stay tuned for afterparty pics 🍸👻
A week ago, the Rio Theater doors opened and we kicked off the 2026 River and Redwoods Film Festival. What a beautiful weekend full of joy, laughter, tears, s’mores, film, creativity and community. We want to thank everyone who came out and made it so special. Lastly, we want to thank our supporters, volunteers and all of the incredible filmmakers. Much love and appreciation from the RRFF team: Dan, Drew, Kathy and Masashi. ❤️🎥 🏞️ photos by David Mackie.
