Our opening day was simply perfect! The air was still, the sun was bright, the skies were blue and the ground was sparkling white. Our first customers @meet_her_somewhere and @_bielecki were just meant to be! Our last customers from last year to the first this year! The locals came out in force, we had a special message from @walkerlukens , we got a great review on Google and our Skool Beans family were reunited! More familiar faces will start to reappear as the season grows but for our first day I can honestly score this one a 10/10! Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us. 🥰🎂❤️🌅🎊 #openingday #iceland #schoolbuscafe #coffee #happypeople

WE TURNED 5 TODAY! The statutory public holiday weekend rain stopped a lot of the plans I had but we made the most of the morning and we had a great time. Thanks to everyone who supports us, near and far. We love you and we know all the support you give online, in person and word of mouth is why we are still here. THANK YOU. Time for a glass of wine. ☮️❤️🕊✌🏻 🦊😺☮️❤️🕊✌🏻#cafe #interiordesign #iceland #vik #visitvik #tipsforiceland #americanschoolbuscafe #skoolieconversion #southiceland #girlpower #retrostyle #hiddengems #supportlocalbusiness #skoolie #freshroastedcoffee #chocolate #mixology #gingercat #catcafe #buscafe #bekind #unusualcafe #womeninbusiness #oldschool #coffeeaddicts #busconversions #southiceland #coffeeandtravel #catcafe #pins #birthday

Living in Iceland as a foreigner can be hard at times. But after a while, you form your own family and when the chips are down and your own family are too far away for a hug, it’s up to your foreign family to help you along the way. I know how hard it can be to be away from your home countries … but with a little help from your friends, it’s all possible! ITS @andris_bandris_ BIRTHDAY!!! This guy!!! I fire him daily simply because of his youth! I met him when he was 21 and even though he is 20 years younger than me, he inspires me and others every day. The kindest soul, the greatest patience, the best humour and a great friend. Happy Birthday buddy. We all love you.
