A little over a week has passed since I finished my time with the Cavaliers and not a day goes by that I don't think about my brothers. I am forever grateful and indebted to them for the memories, lessons, and challenges we faced together. Even on the hardest days, we always found a way to push through together. This was the most fun I've ever had over the course of a single summer. Thank you!!! I am and always will be A Cavalier. SPLOOIE! BANGARANG!!!!

With Reckless Abandon - SCV ‘26 ❤️💚 This summer tested me physically and mentally, but in the end it was worth it. This summer could’ve went one of many ways but I’m truly satisfied in where I’ve grown as a performer and as a person. Thank you to the SCVCG for the insane amount of patience, kindness, and support, I truly wouldn’t have been able to hop in and out if it weren’t for you guys. Thank you to the SCVCG staff for always trusting in me to get the job done no matter the circumstance and belieVing I could. Thank you to Health and Wellness for putting up with my random health crises and helping me. Thank you to Ava Trujillo for the amazing bus rides and for being my twin in this wild ride of a season. DCI Eastern Classic 2026! I kinda forgot to post this until today Bushwackers snares! I have no idea what front ensemble this was but they did great! Genesis front ensemble! Bluecoats drumline! So cool to see them in person Show day! The Spartans! Seattle Cascades! Closer was tuff The Academy! I loved the blind tenor drum feature Pacific Crest! Madison Scouts! Closer was so cool The Crossmen! The Cavaliers! Phantom Regiment! Santa Clara Vanguard! My personal favorite show of the night Boston Crusaders! Loved the drumline features Carolina Crown! Ballad was heavenly 🥹

when working with two corps on staff this summer, I experienced the singular pleasure of watching people i loved fall in love with other people i loved. there was a time in spring training where it was pouring with rain and the entire drum corps was huddled underneath stadium bleachers. lightning was preventing us from moving, and the rain lasted hours. but it was here where i watched each section witness each other’s slow progress of miseries and injuries, and long bouts of monotony through rehearsing, and the occasional reminiscence of vets performing alongside each other the previous year. the scene itself was not remarkable, in fact im sure this has taken place at every corps in some fashion. but it was precisely these scenes found in drum corps i missed the most from my life when i took a step back from the activity in 2025. the forgettable, in-between moments in which nothing seemed to be happening but the absence of them was unfillable. saying “both blue stars and spirit became a home for me” feels like the understatement of the century. i’m forever grateful for the in-between’s shared this summer with all of my friends, new and old :)
