What an amazing morning of movement, mindfulness, connection, and community! 🌿

A huge thank you to everyone who came together for @megan.olind Flow State—and to Ashlee & Lola and @northbound_treatment Northbound Treatment Network for creating a space where people from different treatment facilities and organizations could connect, build relationships, and support one another. @woodlandhillsrecoverycenter @made_recovery @love_lola_ray @_alex_spivak

Events like this are a great reminder that recovery is bigger than any one program or facility. When we network, collaborate, and share resources, we create stronger connections and better opportunities for the people we all serve. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Grateful for the conversations, the new relationships, and everyone who continues to show up for the recovery community.

I’ve watched this woman lead rooms in Bali, Costa Rica, Los Angeles and soon the Philippines… and the thing that gets me every single time is her presence, grace, poise, strength and how much she genuinely cares. She pays attention. She stays close. She knows when to push, when to soften, when to laugh and when to hold space for someone to move through the messy parts.

When you’ve walked enough people through transformation, you stop being afraid of discomfort… Because you know what’s possible on the other side.

And as a photographer and space holder myself, this is what I’m paying attention to.

I don’t photograph a shot list. I watch how you lead. How you hold the container and move through the room. How you look at your people and how they look at you. The look right before and after something hard… and what happens between the schedule. Because those moments tell us who you actually are as a facilitator and a human being. They show us why people trust you enough to follow you into something uncomfortable in the first place.

And when i understand that, i can capture your work in a way that communicates what it feels like to be led by you.

Someone once told me that struggle is a choice… that we can choose ease and grace instead… and that we don’t have to fight our way through life.

Ok. Maybe. And.

I imagine there are seasons of life that ask something of us and there are a select few who choose to answer to it. Not every challenge is meant to be avoided… some are meant to shape us.

Like a clay mug - soft enough to be formed and strong enough to withstand the fire :) ONLY then can we become someone that holds.

Not because suffering is the goal. But because transformation has a process and I’ve chosen a front row seat to it ☕️

I witness the tears before the breakthroughs. The uncertainty before the clarity… most of the moments people want to hide. But to me, the most beautiful moments, memories and yes photos are rarely about perfection. They’re about someone becoming.

And that’s the gift I’ll never stop bringing grateful to witness 🤍

When I was on the fly away bus to the airport the guy next to me asked me “what do you do?”

Such a common question to ask but I couldn’t find the words

THIS is what I “do” 🧚

Creating experiences & opening spaces for connection, nourishment & community

Simply, I desire to leave people in a ‘better’ place than when they arrived

& not to be confused with comparing better VS worse; better meaning more present with themselves, more at home in their own experience

Some moments are too meaningful to put into words… but these photos come close. ✨
So much gratitude to @returningtoessence for capturing the magic of a journey that truly changed my life. Costa Rica gave me more than beautiful landscapes—it gave me perspective, healing, deep laughter, and a sisterhood I’ll carry with me forever.

To these incredible women: thank you for witnessing me, holding space for me, and reminding me of the power of authentic connection. I’ll always cherish the memories we created together.

A few months ago, my heart left a piece of itself in Costa Rica, and somehow came home even more whole. 🤍🌿

Forever grateful for this chapter and the beautiful souls who were part of it.

There’s something beautiful about being invited into a space where everyone has chosen to slow down.

The world will always ask you to move faster.
Do more.
Be more.
Rush to the next thing.

But moments like these remind us that there is beauty in simply being.

Listen to the birds.
Feel the breeze.
Savor the conversation.
Take a deep breath.

Some of life’s sweetest moments aren’t found in the rush, they’re found in the stillness.

Today, I’m grateful for a business that allows me to witness moments like these, and for a God who gently reminds me that peace is something to be practiced, not postponed.
