Dear Family and Friends,

I’m reaching out with a hopeful heart to share something very personal. My husband, Jonathan Canlas, is in urgent need of a kidney transplant. He has been living quietly with kidney disease for the past 20+ years, rarely ever speaking about his condition or how much it’s affected his life.

He’s a nurse by profession—a caregiver at heart—who has spent years helping others through his work in home health. If you know him, you know he’s humble, down-to-earth, and would never ask for anything, even now when his life depends on it.

Family members have stepped forward to be tested as potential donors, but sadly, none have qualified. And so, we are now turning to our extended community for help.

We are asking for your help in two important ways:

1. Consider becoming a living kidney donor. The process starts with a simple online health questionnaire at UTCLivingDonor.com

2. Help us share his story. Spreading the word can help us reach someone who may be willing to give the gift of life.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting Jonathan through this. Your kindness could help save his life.

With gratitude,

Karen
