🇬🇧: The private Aquila Game Reserve is home to four African elephants – three males and one elephant grandma, who happens to be the one in this photo!
South Africa is home to some of the largest elephants in the world, especially in Kruger National Park. The males here were no small guys either, but it was the female who really caught my eye. She was an average-sized female with a torn ear, but she was absolutely beautiful, especially against the backdrop of the local semi-desert landscape.
During our evening game drive, despite quite a few challenges, we were treated to some truly beautiful moments. And this elephant lady, standing in front of a table mountain and bathed in the golden light of the setting sun, was definitely one of them.
I’m incredibly happy with this shot! It’s one of the most beautiful elephant photos I’ve brought back from Africa!

A ty výhledy? Ty byly boží! 😍

A tenhle model? Respekt! 🤩🐾

“Aging with Grace”

Layer by layer, year by year, nature writes its story upon the surface of the tree. Weathered by seasons, scarred by storms, and softened by time, the bark reveals a beauty that only age can create. “Aging with Grace” is a tribute to endurance, character, and the quiet elegance found in the marks left by life’s journey.

🇬🇧: Rhinos are without a doubt among the most endangered mammals on the planet! They are absolutely magnificent animals with an almost prehistoric appearance.
I’ve already shown you black rhinos here before, but this is a white rhino! Males like this one can weigh an incredible 3 tons and their horns can grow up to a meter long. Seeing an animal like this just a few meters away is an unbelievable experience, and this particular male is one I’ll never forget.
He didn’t have his horns, though. The reserve’s rangers had removed them to protect him from poachers, who have already killed rhinos at Aquila in the past. No horns, no reason to hunt them.
I saw him several times at @aquilasafaris during our safaris, and I had the chance to watch him tower over both the other rhinos and the Cape buffalo, which looked like toys standing next to him. The sheer power and presence of animals like these is impossible to describe, and that’s exactly why both white and black rhinos will always hold a special place in my memories!
