I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how to best protect the kiddos that I work with, while still being able to advertise. I considered not posting them at all, but it’s a big part of how I showcase what I do, and I think a lot of families look forward to seeing their photos shared too! Up until now, I’ve just left it up to the parents if they feel comfortable with me sharing photos with their children, but sometimes feelings change, and sometimes we unfortunately don’t feel very secure in how the cutest little people would be protected by our government.

So maybe the little sticker is cringe, but at least for now, I’ll be covering any photos I share where kids’ faces can be clearly seen. I know - bummer we can’t see their silly faces, but it’s more important to me to keep them safe than to have the perfect post.

If you’re a client and you don’t want me to share your photos at all, or if you want me to take down photos I’ve shared in the past, that’s completely fine! Just let me know. I want to keep you and your little ones as safe as I can. 🤍

On a happier note, I’ve been wanting to share these photos for the longest time!! Tim & Meg just have the sweetest little fam and it meant to much to me to be able to capture an evening walk for them this summer. Your family sessions don’t have to be complicated or stressful. It can be as simple as walking through a park and playing with your kids in the ways they love best.

Well, the day is almost over… I have paused this post… because I did not want to go through today mourning, but instead I wanted to go through it thinking about and celebrating my sweet mama in my own way… my dad used to sing a song and the lyric said this “the twilight is fading and the day soon shall end, I get homesick the farther I roam… well I can say with full certainty that neither my dad nor my mom are homesick anymore… as I’m sure all of our friends know my dad took his Heavenly flight a little over 11 years ago… and three months ago exactly to the day, my mom took her final breath on this earth and went to meet her Saviour and be reunited with the love of her life… There’s no doubt in my mind that today was the best birthday my mama has ever had. And though I miss you, mama, I’m looking forward to seeing you again one day…. And to be reunited with you both…. Thanks be to God for the hope we have through Jesus… happy birthday Mama. I love you.

Looks like it’s another Cajun menu item tonight in my life group class… shrimp and andouille étouffée… they say the teaching is OK but the food is worth coming for… come find out for yourself 6:30 tonight.. life is delicious
