It's been a week since I left Scotland, and I honestly still don't really know how to put this summer into words. It's hard to believe that something I spent so much time looking forward to ended up being so much more than I could have imagined.

I got to see so much of Scotland and travel to places that were on my bucket list. There were so many new cities, beautiful views, long train rides, and moments where I couldn't believe I was actually there.

And then there were the people. I'm so grateful for the friendships I made and for all the people who made Scotland feel like home for a little while. It's crazy how quickly people become such an important part of your life. One minute you're meeting someone for the first time, and the next you're spending almost every day together, planning random trips, staying up way too late, laughing with each other, having long conversations, exploring new places, getting food together, taking way to long to decide what to do, and just being around people who made every day more fun.

It's weird being home now. Everything feels normal again, but it also feels strange knowing that I can't just wake up and go explore somewhere new or make another spontaneous plan with everyone. I think that's what makes it feel like its really over.

But I know I'll go back someday. I'll get to walk through those same places again, see the views I couldn't get enough of, and find new places I never made it to.

I'm so grateful for this summer and for everything it gave me. For the friendships, the laughs, the late nights, the adventures, and the breath taking views.

A week later, I already miss it. But I know I'll always be thankful that I got to call Scotland home, even if it was only for a summer.

Thank you for the best summer!

Until next time!
