We love this month in Hong Kong when so much art is around the city. @hkwalls is a particular favourite event as the area the shop is in (Sheung Wan) is surrounded by some brilliant creations and we love seeing new ones added!

Take a look at some of our favourite ones that are a short walk from HQ!

Save this so you can go on your own mini art walk next time you pop in to The Lion Rock Press!

@hkwalls is back from today till the 29th 🎨 in town for the murals? you might as well pop in.

We nipped out to see the HKWALLS murals…and ended up right outside our own door.

We share an office with our sister company, @thelionrockpress , and feel rather lucky to be surrounded by all this art.
(while quietly making our own ✉️)

📍 Unit 1005, 10/F, Arion Commercial Centre
2–12 Queen’s Rd W, Sheung Wan

⏰ Mon–Fri: 10am–6pm; Sat: 11am–3pm

@megic_artwork

English:
Base in Shenzhen, China. A graffiti artist, film director and researcher on Neo-traditional wood carvings. Megic starts graffiti since 2007, inspired by East Chaoshan lacquer carvings and exploring ways to combine traditional elements with modern graffiti. The works are highly recognizable and very much characteristic of Chinese literature, with distinctive colors and a strong sense of stereotypicality. The artist is committed to exploring possibilities, and neo-traditional graffiti art is a way of creating something new by combining and reinterpreting emerging street symbols that take into account local and cultural characteristics.
