The Oscar’s are this weekend, and we have some nominees of our own! This Friday we will be presenting 3 improvised Oscar Bait movies, a true celebration of film, comedy, and acting. Our talented cast of genre specialists/Oscar nominees have been working tirelessly to produce the most dramatic, compelling tales of heart and humanity to present to you (and the academy). First, Leslie Cserepy, Jack Eisten, Talia Rockland, Anthony Sardinha, and Miho Suzuki will be improvising a ‘Muscian Biopic’ film (like Rocketman, Bohemian Rhapsody, A Complete Unknown). Next, Eshaan Arora, Alex Austin-Boyd, Meg Mathur, William Ramsay, Josh Zimmerman, and a special guest from @holisticimprov will be improvising a Historical Drama/Period Piece (like Gladiator, The King’s Speech, Braveheart, Titanic). And finally, Nitin Anand, Taelor Lewis-Joseph, Meredith Mullen, Rhys Naylor, and Josh Zimmerman will be improvising a Hollywood Story (like La La Land, Babylon, A Star is Born, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood). And the whole event hosted by the one and only Juan De La Cruz! Come support our nominees! Tickets at engenre.eventbrite.ca
