Bucket List ✔️ We took a quick trip to Nashville for our very FIRST show at the BLUEBIRD CAFE. We couldnt have asked for a better lineup - the show was amazing. We are so, so grateful we got the chance to go and for a much needed night away together. All four of these writer's are top tier - in talent and in kindness - and you should check them all out immediately! Thanks @vinniepaolizzi for such a great night.

5 songwriters I’m doing unpaid PR for ✨
Because I fear we’re not making nearly enough fuss about people who can actually WRITE a song.
I’m talking about the kind of writing where one seemingly insignificant detail can tell an entire story, and a three-minute song can have you questioning every decision you’ve ever made.
Anyway, I’ve appointed myself head of publicity. Nobody asked. #singersongwriter #songwriter

There’s a reason her name keeps appearing in other people’s songwriting credits.
She has this brilliant ability to make clever, meticulously written songs feel completely effortless. The wit of Mary Jane & Chardonnay, the warmth of Tried & True, the vulnerability of The Moon.
She can make something feel nostalgic while you’re still living it, which is a frankly ridiculous skill to possess.
And the fact she’s writing for other artists AND releasing her own music? Greedy, really. Leave some talent for the rest of Nashville.

This man could write about a supermarket car park and somehow turn it into a commentary on the human condition.
His writing is witty, observant, occasionally cynical and so painfully self-aware. Clams Casino explores class, ambition and the guilt of wanting more, while Rockland County makes abandoning your big-city dreams sound simultaneously hilarious and devastating.
He has this knack for disguising an existential crisis as a massive, singalong rock song.
Basically, Bruce Springsteen for people having a minor identity crisis in the middle of Tesco.

What I love about Caitie’s writing is how much heart sits behind it.
Her earlier songs like Recover explore faith, shame, restoration and the possibility of starting again. And her newer independent music, released as Caitie Beasley, sees her writing more freely about love, life and everything in between.
There’s something especially lovely about an artist finding their own voice outside the expectations of a label or genre.
Good songwriting with actual substance AND the courage to do things your own way? I’m listening. Aggressively.
