Today we bid farewell to our Spike and I wanted to say a few things about him because for us dogs are never just pets. They're family.

Daddy(my grandfather) was his person. Whatever the weather was daddy's dedication to Spike and his friend Ruby was high. I can clearly remember how when it rains daddy would have a polythene bag covering his head (cause for some reason he never owned a hat) walking to get their bowls, cleans the bowl standing drenched in the rain, walks back gets the food he freshly prepares every day and gives it to them. Then he would have a firm word with the both "Motham kazhichonam!" Meaning you better finish the entire thing.
Spike had a habit for running off and meeting his friends and coming home. Now when I say running off he would actually jump the wall around my grandads house which I must add is tall! He meets his friends and sometimes people who know him would bring him back home and he would happily tag along when they say "vada veetil pokam" (come let's go home.)

Spike was not a fan of Buddy lol when we brought Buddy home, spike was not impressed. He was more what is this huge ball of white fur doing here!? Buddy would try to play with him but spike was too cool for that lol.

The last memory I can think of his how he howled so badly when my grandfather was getting cremated. All our dogs did. Though I bet spikes one was the most sad, cause he wasn't just my grandfathers pet, he was his friend.

Today spike left us lying on the exact spot my grandfather was cremated. So this is love, expecting nothing in return these animals love us so intensely.

Spike wasn't just a dog, he was memories. 14 years of beautiful memories. He will be missed, and he was and is always loved.

Now Ruby is all alone...

What a good boy you were.💔🙏🏾

Out for lunch at @cheenavala_restaurant….defo recommend going there. You can choose what fish and all that you want. I would rate this place abt 9/10!!!

Then onto @saucercafe for a coffee and pizza dosa…..dosa was ok, I’d give it a 7/10.
