{CLOSED} GIVEAWAY 🎀
Thank you to everyone for participating!

"But whoever had done this had counted on her being a woman alone, without her uncle and without resources or recourse. They had chosen the wrong woman."

Samantha has long been my favorite girl and I loved getting to see the woman she has become — still courageous and kind, still deeply loyal to her family, still working to help others — educating and encouraging women in New York to vote.

In this captivating story, Samantha leans on her signature strength and conviction to search for clues, uncover the truth around the theft of her family's inheritance, and protect their legacy.

It was such a thrill to be back in Samantha's world. @fionadavisauthor's reverence for New York City and her commitment to honoring the spirit of Samantha's character and stories (and her family! Yay Agatha!) are beautifully captured in these pages. I savored every one and can't wait to read it again!

Today was my daughter’s first day in Year 1. I wrote this last year before she started school but the feeling are almost the same- wanting to hold on to her right now for as long as possible whilst also needing to let her go.

Thinking of all the parents and children starting something new ❤️💔

I had the pleasure of reading this poem on @megsreadingroom podcast for her Mother’s Day special in May

[Text Reads]
Lemonade

Before it all starts I try to drink her in, like
sparkling lemonade, knowing that she’s about to
change in ways I can’t even fathom right now

forgetting that it has happened a multitude
of times before, I just wasn’t ready. So I drink
her in, wishing there was somewhere I could

stash a part of her just as she is now and
in years to come I will think the same of
many versions that have yet to be.

Happy 40th anniversary to AG — and me! ✨

The best part about turning 40 is knowing how far you’ve come and that your 10-year-old self has been with you all along. 💛🥰

"Reading is a way to hold on to the past, to travel to places you've never been, and to learn about worlds beyond your own time or experience." (JOSEFINA LEARNS A LESSON)

Happy National Book Lovers Day to all my fellow Belles. 💛

This year, I set a simple goal: read 12 books.

Not because it was trendy…but because somewhere along the way, I stopped doing something I used to love so much. As a kid, I was always reading. As an adult, not as much.

Right now, I’m on book 16… with 3.5 months still to go.

Reading this year has reconnected me with a quieter version of myself.
It’s brought me back a piece of me that had gone missing.

So pick up your books and get lost in the text with your favorite drink.
Happy National Book Lovers Day 🤍📚

It's shaping up to be a rainy lake vacation, which is a bummer but means lots of time to read. I am currently *thoroughly* enjoying Dolly All the Time by Annabel Monaghan. Meg at @megsreadingroom raved about it, and she was absolutely right! I love the 39-year old protagonist, her family, the coastal town in Rhode Island, and the growing chemistry between the two leads. Also love how Dolly, who juggles everyone else's needs, is getting a chance to voice her own needs and wants. It's the perfect summer romance (even when it’s pouring rain. 🌧️)

Have you read this book? It's my third book by Monaghan, and I love her voice and her heroines.
