POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Survived a hectic week (month? year?) of corporate adulting by loosening up for a day, starting with a sprinkle of culinary fun.

We dragged ourselves away from our screens to tackle Moroccan fish, spanakopita, couscous, grilled vegetables, and peach, goats' cheese, and rocket salad. Quite impressive we managed to cook and eat all that, considering our stress levels.

The kitchens at @iccadubai_iccaabudhabi handled our absolute chaos like pros. Throw in great coffee and decadent desserts-the ultimate emotional support treats-and it was a 10/10 occasion.

Highly recommend if you want to level up your culinary skills (or just need a safe space to cry with your friends/team and blame the onions).

Emotional eating companions.

Additional emotional eating companions.

Next stop: VR laser tag at @battleworld.ae. A few teammates were hesitant at first, but once I promised to reveal an unhinged side of myself they’d never witnessed, everyone geared up. Guns… lasering?

I became Santiago, a ruthless, cartel-trained orphan assassin. Final tally? Over 100 hits. The team was stunned. Genuinely concerned, even.

Fingers crossed I have a job on Monday.

Come nightfall and we attempted to behave like civilised adults at @claydubai. In between inhaling delicious Nikkei food in an absurdly gorgeous room, we got swept up in a Hollywood production while simultaneously solving a homicide.

If you too are looking to solve a murder while having hella fun doing it, look no further than @themurdermysteryexperience.

Nikkei guacamole (avocado, tigers milk, rocoto chimichurri, chilli oil, crispy tortilla)

Moriawase Al Fuego (squid, octopus, scallops, red yuzu kosho, black tobico)

Taco de Maguro (hard shell taco, bluefin tuna, truffle oyster sauce)

Sake (squid ink tapioca crackers, salmon, passion fruit puree, mint cream)

Solving murders in real time with @themurdermysteryexperience.

Ended the evening with a Willy-Wonka-level creation piled high with chocolates, mousse, fruit, cake, and a candy floss tree replete with chocolate trunk.

Na(Vase)rasam: The Ninth Emotion.

What a journey this has been.

This was built with heart, chaos, trust, creative panic, questionable levels of sleep deprivation, and the kind of madness that somehow only makes sense in theatre.

To have it received the way it was, to hear the judges’ feedback, and to walk away with Best Original Script, alongside nominations for Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Theatre Group, means more than we can say.

Swipe all the way because somewhere in these 20 slides we go through every known human emotion — nerves, stress, joy, disbelief, celebration, and at least three moments of “wait… did we actually just win that?”

A huge thank you to @junctiondubai and @xfestdxb Dubai for creating spaces where original stories can live, breathe, and be celebrated.

Thank you @gautam_goenka @arjun.burman @hasnainaurraza @clutchless_moto_ Deepak, Nishant and Inder, for all the support.

Thank you @crossbronxstudio for always being our support system.

To @satyabaskaran and @megssays, sharing the journey of Final Rest (another kickass, well-received play, by the way), getting to do this and continue showing up for each other through this process made this all the more special. Thank you for your honesty, your brilliance, and for making the whole experience such a joy.

To @itssalonimehta the backbone of MCG and Na(Vase)rasam — thank you for holding everything and the vase lighting together.

To @dugulan.media our bestest friend in the whole wide world, thank you for capturing every week, every moment, every emotion, and every little memory we now get to keep.

And to everyone who watched, supported, cheered, and felt something with us — thank you.

This one was special.

Onwards. ❤️

Final Rest by Vicky Z Daly
Adapted by the Cross Bronx team
Performed by Meghana and Satya
Directed by Aditi Nath
X Fest Finals | 22nd, 23rd, 24th May

We’re in the finals.

Grateful feels like an understatement. Working with Satya again and Meghana for the first time has been one of those rare processes where nothing is resisted, everything is received. Every note, every nuance, every emotional layer, every mirrored gesture, every hug, every hum…even the uncomfortable bits…it all just landed. Clean. Honest. Precise.

That kind of trust makes space for what theatre is supposed to be. No gimmicks. No excess. Just truth on stage.

So proud of what we’ve built together. And deeply thankful to you two for this journey.

See you at the finals.

And a special shoutout to Ovidiu Dugulan — one of the finest theatre photographers in Dubai. The instinct, the timing, the ability to capture performance without ever intruding… exceptional, and seriously underrated. @dugulan.media
