Marathon —> Key West 50 mile Relay with a 1st place finish and course record! Had a blast running some miles and staying hydrated with @zicococonut. Shoutout to @natedumo for snapping some awesome pics ❤️‍🔥 I’m smiling in all but pic #5 is how I felt most of the time!!

The thing about the Keys 100 is that the road doesn’t care how prepared you are. The heat doesn’t care either. It just keeps coming. And you decide if you’re going to keep going.

Proud of our girls team for showing exactly what that looks like: first overall and a new female course record in the 50 mile race. Big shoutout to @zicococonut for helping us battle every mile of it 🥥 🌴

Boston 5K- 21:30

I fully expected this post to be one where I would be writing about a PR, but when you have setbacks and have limitations in your training you need to be humble with grace.

My PR streak of 12 consecutive races finally came to an end after almost 2 years, and I’m happy with my performance because I put my best foot forward and went for it. Always do!

Did I learn some lessons and wished I would have kicked harder once I turned left on iconic Boylston street?
Absolutely! But that’s what this sport is about- to adapt, grow, and improve!

I know now what my floor is and I’m looking forward to progress what I know I’m capable of when I’m healthy. It’s always a pleasure, Boston 💚🍀

Thank you to @drdanifrommiami for the guidance and getting my body as ready as possible. Great bumping into some Miami fam too!

IYKYK

Last year I was battling health issues that made it nearly impossible to run, coach, or play soccer the way I wanted to. I missed the KB Half because of it. Slowly but surely I found ways to manage, and in October I got back to moving without fear, signed up, laced up, and a few weeks ago I was able to go sub-2 (1:57:51) and PR my 5k (22:48) just like I wanted to.

So much of my identity is rooted in athletics and movement. Not being able to do what I love was paralyzing in ways I can’t fully put into words. I feel incredibly blessed to have had people who supported me and never stopped cheering me on.

Special thanks to my jazzybear, she is my rockstar, and the one who taught me what asthma is 🥸

Sub 1:45 for my next half 🤝
