#Camper and #poet Mekyra is truly incredible. She's absolutely brilliant, so brave, and also the nicest person you could ever hope to meet. Mekyra is that very special combination powerfully tough and powerfully kind. She also writes the most devastating and moving poetry that will make you cry and make you laugh in a single stanza. Mekyra is a rising senior this year and everyone who's anyone just KNOWS that this girl is going places. Mekyra, thank you for being a part of #girlswritetheworld. We love you so much. 💖

What is something you love about yourself? My writing.
What advice do you have for other women? Do what you want whenever you want because everyone is still going to talk about you.
What’s your secret talent? Making friendship bracelets (which I learned this week!). What was your favorite part of camp? Hearing everyone’s opinions on different things.
