A little (late) birthday post for melody and my sweet friends ♥

As I get ready to leave Omaha in just 12 days, I feel like this chapter deserves a post. This city has held a lot of pain, hurt, and memories I wish I could throw away. There have been tears, sadness, and seasons I never thought I’d get through. But through it all, I’ve met people who changed everything for me.

People who made me laugh when I needed it most. People who I will tell my kids about and the absurd amount of dad lore I now have. People who let me cry when I had to. People who picked me up when I was down, and support me as I step into this next adventure regardless of whether they understand it or not. To all the faces here (and even the ones I don’t have a picture with) — I love you and I’ll never forget you.

Omaha will always hold a place in my heart. If I come back, I know I’ll have you here. If I don’t, just know you’ll always be with me. I love you all so much, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you ❤️
