A cabin in the mist, straight out of a gothic fairytale. No ghosts in sight, but perfect for becoming one 👻

Last week my friend and I went back to the Dolomites for a few days of relax… and, i hoped, some fog. As you might guess from the photos, I got my wish 😍
Thanks to a cable car, we went up to almost 2000 meters and found ourselves in thick fog. Everything was quiet, wrapped in soft light, with a tiny cabin perched on the edge of a cliff. I couldn’t resist, it felt too magical, too perfectly eerie for this time of year. So, even in the cold (it was around 3-4°C), I threw on my @thepiratedressing dress and took some photos.

And just when my feet were frozen (so within minutes 😅), the mist lifted, the sun broke through, and the mountain turned golden. From ghostly to glowing in a heartbeat!

Happy autumn equinox ✨
Rain showed up today, breaking the spell of endless summer days. The only thing missing? Fog. But I’m patient, the season has just begun, and I can’t wait to weave more of that quiet magic back into this feed.

When the hills ripple under the glowing twilit sky, radiating the gleam of undulating dragonhide or folds of softest silk, your heart cannot help but sing out. The contours of this landscape reflecting dusk and dawn paint a waking dream. We are fortunate to have been able to experience it with our dear friends @mel_o_matic and @whimsicalview when they joined us in the mountains last week - thank you for the memories.

If anyone can guess what made us laugh so hard in the video clip, I will send you an actual prize!!

Chasing the last bits of fog
‌
Few days ago, I found myself searching for the last traces of fog in the early morning, just before heading to work. The city was waking up and, as every morning, everything felt like a rush (too many cars honking, people already in motion, …).
‌
But suddenly, there it was, what I had been searching for: a fleeting moment of stillness. For a second, as the mist lingered in the air, it felt like peace in the chaos.
‌
It is strange, how the noise and the rush fade away when I focused on quiet, foggy cool air.
‌
Unfortunately, with the temperature hovering around 2°C, I reluctantly stepped back into the real world 😅, leaving that moment of calm behind to slip into my coat and face the day.
‌
Let’s just call it an other ordinary day of a fog chaser 😂
