I’m still feeling the glow from this week’s opening at Rowan’s Museum of Contemporary Art. I was truly surprised with how many people came out. So many friends I hadn’t seen in a while from Philly, Bucks County and Princeton including: Matt Charette from Woods Hole as well as lots from Rowan University’s community. There was standing room only for the earlier panel.

Thank you all for showing up— it truly matters. Please forgive me for not listing all your names. I would like to express particular gratitude to Mary Salvante who made it all possible and Kristin Qualls for the beautifully designed catalog! Also, I want to give a shoutout to my former Studio Managers: Catia Colagioia and Ella Konefal who helped me develop this body of work - and the Cristin Tierney Gallery for their support. Here are some shots from the opening and I promise to share another on the panel: “Intersections of Art and Science: Communication and Collaboration.”

This weekend, across the country, exhibitions and events will be taking place to push back against authoritarianism and corruption in the US. Together, they’re called Fall of Freedom. And after local artists @melanieannbaker and @dianeburko heard the call from Fall of Freedom’s originator @dreadscottart, they started planning their own exhibition here in
Philly.

“Philadelphia Artists Resist” will be on view at @huddle215 (338 Brown Street) this weekend only: Friday 11/21 (6-9 PM), Saturday 11/22 (12-6 PM), and Sunday 11/23 (12-6 PM).

I will have some new work up this weekend at @huddle215 for @falloffreedom! This work references some of my favorite essays by Audre Lorde & Foucault, both referencing the ways our human nature is domesticated and surveilled. some more metaphor hidden in the armature itself...

So grateful for the opportunity to be included! I hope to see you at the opening this Friday 6-9 pm! If not, the show will be open 12-6 Saturday & Sunday!

This work "Wildfires West" (2025) is a work about the increasingly devastating and common wildfires in the US, and it is also my submission to our @FallofFreedom pop-up exhibition that @melanieannbaker and myself have organized, titled "Philadelphia Artists Resist."

Join us next Friday, November 21 at @Huddle215 from 6-9 pm for our pop-up exhibition, where 18 incredible artists have submitted works that resist the rise of violence, fear, and division in America. The exhibition will also be open on November 22 & 23 from 12-6 pm.

Fall of Freedom is a nationwide activation of creative resistance, where galleries, artists, museums, concert halls, theaters, libraries, & comedy clubs will be hosting public programming that channel the urgency of the moment in America, where our rights & freedoms are at risk. We are all in this together, and Philadelphia is greatly represented with 10+ events already on the docket for the nationwide schedule of Fall of Freedom events.

Cristin Tierney Gallery opened its new beautiful space at 49 Walker street and celebrated with a group show including all of us artists that form part of the gallery. I included a selection of my White shoes works, and here are install shots of the show as well as some celebratory images of the opening @cristintierneygallery , an image of @judy.pfaff ‘s incredible piece shown with the gallery at @independent_hq and a close up of @joefig2000 piece
