We’re still swooning over the delicate, sumptuous styling of Charlotte and Mihindu’s ceremony. The rich Victorian grandeur of Rippon Lea Estate was complimented by a combination of white and orange roses, while delicate parasols protected guests from the summer sun. Charlotte and Mihindu celebrated their love in style at the stunning Ripponlea Estate, combining tradition and elegance in an unforgettable day.

The celebrations began with a Sri Lankan Poruwa ceremony, followed by a Western ceremony featuring 600 white roses lining the aisle. Guests enjoyed a luxury experience, including freshly shucked oysters at the oyster bar, live illustrations, and personalised wine glasses engraved with their initials.

The reception was beautifully set with weaving tables adorned with vintage silver candlesticks and crystal, complemented by custom menus handwritten by the father of the bride. A florist’s wrap station added a thoughtful touch, allowing guests to take home fresh blooms.

Set against the historic backdrop and lush gardens of Ripponlea, the day was a seamless blend of culture, family, and refined elegance. Congratulations, Charlotte and Mihindu!

We wrapped up 2024 with an unforgettable wedding! @charlottejayasuriya & @mihinduj's celebration was truly one for the books. After 18 months of planning, two ceremonies, nearly 30 suppliers, and an incredible outdoor reception, our team gave it their all to make this day come to life. A huge shoutout to our head stylist @sarahgiust, who poured her heart and soul into every detail. Charlotte and Mihindu were beyond grateful for her creativity, insight, and professionalism throughout the entire process.

The First Ceremony: A beautiful Sri Lankan Poruwa Ceremony. Guests gathered to experience this timeless tradition in all its glory. Charlotte wore a breathtaking royal Kandyan saree, paying tribute to Mihindu’s family heritage. The couple was presented with betel leaves and received blessings through the pinky-tying ritual performed by Mihindu’s father. The mothers offered kirribath and milk as symbols of prosperity. Each of these meaningful elements created a stunning atmosphere and set a perfect tone for the celebrations that followed.
