As we say goodbye to our last stragglers and we put away all the extra blankets and pillows, I can’t help but reflect on the words pastor shared which were “this separation is only temporary”. It gives me great peace knowing we will see our papa dancing again, on that glorious morning. Thank you to all my little cousins/babies who became graphic designers/florists/Ubers/chefs/counsellors. I know your hearts were just as broken as mine but you guys stayed strong, took the tough talks and made our papas day extra special. I know whatever God has in-store for our family next, we will face it together with His strength and guidance. Truly it’s been a privilege to serve alongside each and everyone of you as we celebrated papas life. To my village… thank you. Words can’t express the love and gratitude I have for my siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and church family who encouraged me and prayed over my family. From the bottom of my heart, I say thank you. As we all go our separate ways and we learn to navigate this new journey without papa, I want us to remember what Uati said “his legacy lives on in all of us”. We may cry tonight but we will rejoice in the morning when we are reunited. 🤍🕊️
