Peace! I had the Black-tastic honor to participating in the second annual ‘We Ride for No More Suicide’ organized by the mighty Black man Stretch Thalley @thalleyboy x @followdmoneypod ! I enjoyed being out with the people! Connecting with the people in-person not just on social media is what helps me keep going. Couldn’t get much content due to participating so I hope what I captured shows the experience.

The Black plight in its various forms can take a toll on you not only internally but externally. Classism, sexism, capitalism, and all the other oppressive systems stemming from a backwards and vicious system can make you sometimes feel inadequate or less than. Just know you are not alone. It’s natural to get down and upset at times. It’s a natural human emotion. I go through it myself but after I process what I’m feeling I go to my relievers. Community events/efforts, anime, books, cartoons, being outdoors, movies, or Boondocks 😂.

Thank you for putting this even together my brotha @thalleyboy

Your story is more than something you tell. It’s an asset.

It can open doors, build trust, create opportunity and move people to action.

I had the opportunity to share this at the @yourlifeinindy @indychamber
Story Summit because too many of us are sitting on stories that have the power to create impact.

And now we’re taking it a step further.

I’ll be back with Indy Chamber for a series of storytelling workshops on October 13th, 20th and 27th from 11 AM–1 PM, helping people understand the power of the stories they carry and how to use them to break, bridge and build.

Don’t just tell your story. Learn how to leverage it. Comment 'STORY' for the link.

MELI x IMS Homeland Hoodie

A layered point of view shaped by military influence, identity, and the land surrounding the Racing Capital of the World.

A reflection on staying conscious of the battles we face within ourselves and the tension that can exist with one another.
