FIGHT CLUB X LOWRY ~ 15TH DECEMBER 🎤🧼

What’s this? 👀 They’ve let the women have a showcase AND a panel? 🤯 The Lowry asked Fight Club to join their Funny People exhibition, and of course we said yes 💪🎭

Join us for a special Lowry Late celebrating the North West's most exciting female and non-binary comedy talent, bringing together a brilliant line-up of stand-up, character and alternative comedians!

Following the showcase, stay for a panel discussion exploring the realities of creating work and building a career in comedy as part of a marginalised group.

Grab your tickets (with complimentary drinks!) in our bios or on Lowry's website 🎟️

📅: Tuesday 15th December
⏰: 8pm start
📍: Andrew Law Galleries

The final episode of season three is here!
Melina Fiol helps me finally tackle James Spader’s entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as big buff metal robot boy Ultron! Although Melina enjoys a Marvel or two, will she make it into the James Spader Fan Club?

storms a'brewin at our May Fight Club and we're not talking about the weather ☔️🧼 we took refuge with a cuppa to talk all things opportunity ghosting, being trapped in the middle spot, and the disappearance of the bucket split - mystery film ideas if anyone's looking to commission? 👀 as well as some gorgeous celebrations, of course 💅🤩✨

Vive la révolution, vive la fight club 🥳 Our next meeting is on July 5th - sign up now!

Had a lot of fun chatting with @melinafiol.comedy, getting on stage and making people laugh is no easy feat but she was clearly born for it! Every following episode is about a different artist and how their career has landed them in where they are today, so stay tune for more! Check out my bio!

A Grand Day Out! 🚀

#wallaceandgromit #aardman Me stood next to a set from Wallace and Gromit! It contains Wallace, Gromit, and Norbot the Gnome all sat around Wallace and Gromit’s dining room table. Wallace is reading a newspaper, Gromit is holding a tray with a cuppa on it (the mug had a letter G on it to let us know it’s his, of course!) and Norbot is knitting. I’m stood next to the display, smiling. I’m wearing a white shirt and green sweater vest like Wallace and I’m holding a bag shaped like Gromit.

🎤 Introducing our acts… 🎤

Our Opener is … Melina Fiol

Born in Leicester to Spanish-Filipino parents, Melina began her comedy journey in 2021 and is already a distinct voice on the comedy scene. In 2023, she was chosen as one of Leicester Comedy Festival’s Circuit Breakers, before taking part in the Hull Comedy Festival Comedian of the Year Final and winning Nodding Dog’s New Comedian of the Year Competition.

“Comedy Powerhouse”

“Natural charisma, keeps you hanging on every word”

Melina performed at Bliss back in 2024 and we can’t wait to welcome her back
