💁🏻‍♀️Let’s start a little series called ‘Jen returns to running’. (This will be a long series because I have lots of race and things to share)

I started running in high school on my cross country team and I finished every single meet DFL. And I mean every single one. Turns out, I needed surgery on both of my legs and this was done in 2003 and 2004. I went away to college and needed to find myself.

Fast forward to 2011 when my best friend (@melissa4986) suggested I return to VA Beach for a super fun 10k! Peep that cotton t-shirt and not running shorts😂.

After that, I was 100% hooked again. The feeling that running gave me is something I could never put into words. I found out the same race company had a 10 miler coming up and I signed up so fast! (And yet another cotton shirt, this one from Old Navy)

@jandaracing has literally been part of my running journey from the (re)start and I am so thankful to them for the opportunity to represent @shamrockmarathon weekend! Use LUCYSHAM10 to register with a discount before the next price increase!

We celebrated community, being active and friendship with our friends at @luckymemovement & the force known as Molly, @lululemon ambassador on an incredible Wednesday evening, which felt like an official kickoff of summer to me!
Here’s to more miles, more memories, and more women supporting women. 💜

🖤💛Pittsburgh Marathon. You have my heart. This is by far one of my favorite weekends that I look forward to each year and it never disappoints. I love my tradition of running the 5k on Saturday and then helping @katemalo at the expo. It’s just the best.

And then there are the Sunday events. The weather this year was cooler than it’s ever been but it was such a gorgeous day. I got to see so many friends do amazing things. I rolled my ankle at mile 7 and had to back off some, but I finished and can’t wait to do this again next year. Who will I see??
