Still thinking about this weekend and how awesome the RAF Next Gen Wrestling Tournament was. The production, the talent, the competition, the fan experience. @rafwrestlingusa @rafnextgen really did their big one with this event series. 🔥

As wrestling parents, we get to see a lot of tournaments, but this one was different. Getting to watch some of the greats of the sport and then watch these young guys go out there and compete on the same platform was pretty damn special. The broadcasts, the atmosphere, the way the kids were showcased…it was all so well done. You could tell how much work went into putting this event together.

We hear all the time that youth wrestling “doesn’t matter”. Well, this weekend was a pretty awesome reminder that it absolutely does. It was so refreshing to see this much time, effort and investment put into the next generation of wrestlers. While the wins and losses will fade, these are the types of memories that will last a lifetime.

Huge thank you to everyone at RAF who made this happen and gave these kids an experience they’ll never forget. We’re so glad we made the trip and got to be part of it. After seeing the talent out there, I have a strong feeling this won’t be the last time we see some of these kids on TV. 👀 @rafnextgen @rafwrestlingusa @izzystylewrestling @chad_bronstein

Also a big thank you to @johnnidijulius for spending so much time with the kids this weekend and sharing wisdom, technique, and lots of laughs with them. You are so inspiring and have a real gift for this. Congrats on your win as well!

Second trip to Tulsa, second time placing. 🦅

One match shy of the eagle this year, with another tough loss in the semi finals. But, once again proving he belongs on that stage. He came in ready to shake things up and wasn’t afraid to wrestle as the youngest in the bracket. He had a strong showing in a 54-man bracket, and ended the weekend as the only down-year kid on the podium in his division. They don’t call it the toughest tournament in the world for nothing.

Huge thank you to teammate and friend @mugabimakorogo for grinding with him all weekend. Helping him work through tough moments, push through pain, stay focused, and keep his head on straight all weekend. This run doesn’t happen without you.

Proud of the growth, grateful for the lessons, and ready to get back to work. Until next year 🫡

Had ourselves quite the time up in GA this past week between #BMF wrestling camp and the #BackyardBrawl tourney. 🤼🤘🏽💥

Roman went 14-2 for the entire weekend. Wrestled individuals, k-4 and k-8 duals. Beat a bunch of incredible wrestlers and took 2 tough, close losses to 2 great kids. Ton of respect for all the kids he faced off with because there was nothing but straight talent here this weekend 🔥

He learned a lot, tried some new things, and had a great time with his wrestling buddies. It’s all about growth and progress and he showed a lot of that this week.

Shout out to @welltrainedelite and @eagleempire_wrestling for having some killer duals teams and treating us like family always! 🙏🏽

The next generation has officially begun!!! Threw our newly 3 year old in not only in his first tournament, but his first national one at that 🤣 At 3 years old and 29lbs, he saved the day wrestling our 40lb spot on big brothers K-4th grade duals team to avoid the forfeit.

He loved it so much, we threw him in the youngest and lightest open division they offered which was 6U 36lbs… and he placed third! Finally bringing home a medal he actually EARNED & wasn’t just given for being so cute. 🤪🥉 Let’s go PJ!
