There was life before ‘my utopias’ and there will be life after. Thank you to everyone who sold us out weeks before we opened, who brought food for the potluck, who warmed us right up with your laughter and gasps. We’re working towards a premiere, so stay tuned for another chance to catch this brilliant team🫜

From our brilliant writer @jameswebsterstull :

“I wrote my utopias over the past few years while considering the demand of reordering society- its promise and peril. The play takes seriously the idea that theater can enact the kind of culture we want to build, not merely reflect it. Perhaps because of that, my utopias is also a potluck, and you are welcome to bring a homemade dish to share in lieu of purchasing a ticket.”

Eat with us.
Commune with us.
Very lucky to be in this room.

ONE YEAR AGO TODAY (wowow we cannot believe this), we opened our very first production — KIN by Bathsheba Doran — and unknowingly began a journey that would help shape the heart of our company.

KIN taught us how to trust each other, how to build something from the ground up, and how to make space for stories that are messy, tender, funny, complicated, and deeply human.

Since then, this little show that could has gone on to receive 9 Broadway World Award nominations for Off-Off Broadway — an honor that still leaves us stunned and grateful.

But the real accomplishment?
The people who showed up for us.
The artists who made this piece with such care.
The audiences who sat in the dark and breathed with us.
The friends, donors, and collaborators who believed in our mission before we ever had a track record.
You helped us build a home where artists are supported, stories are nurtured, and community comes first.

Thank you for helping us make our space.

Here’s to the next year (year 3!) — and to every unheard story still waiting to be told. 🌙

Kin has been nominated for 9 @officialbroadwayworld awards! We are so excited to have our entire creative team nominated AND three of our brilliant actors recognized. So timely considered Kin opened almost a year ago!

Help us out with your votes!!
